As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras, the way it serves as the basis for the reappearance of the other three wisdoms and as the pure support possessing all kinds of excellence: "Mirror-like wisdom is unwavering, the three wisdoms rely on it, equality wisdom individually knows, accomplishing activities is only this." Fourth: The retinue consists solely of the bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis. By radiating light from the body to measure the dharmas, just as the blemishes on the face are clear in a mirror, they still see the difference between themselves and the teacher. The obscurations to enlightenment, which are difficult to fathom, are purified, and they go to the eleventh, the All-Illuminating Ground. Here, the retinue refers to the bodhisattvas who are gathered by lineages other than the teacher himself and who abide on the grounds. They dwell together and enjoy the complete Dharma by radiating light from the body. The Smaller Commentary states: "The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, are the Sambhogakaya because they enjoy the joy and bliss of the Mahayana Dharma, which is extremely pure and without fault, together with the bodhisattvas who dwell on the great grounds." The way it is done is like the way of magicians: just as looking in a mirror allows one to purify the blemishes on one's face by one's own power, so too, when the bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis look at the Nirmāṇakāya Sambhogakaya, they see the differences in the obscurations on their own grounds reflected in that body. This is the Dharma measured by the body's signs. At that time, they strive to purify the defilements of those grounds. That is, on the first ground, miserliness; on the second, moral transgression; on the third, anger; on the fourth, laziness; on the fifth, distraction; on the sixth, wrong views; on the seventh, skillful means; on the eighth, obscurations to the strength of altruism; on the ninth, distraction from the meaning of aspirations; on the tenth, the seeds of subtle cognitive obscurations. By completely purifying the ten perfections and the grounds, one attains unsurpassed enlightenment. The Guhyagarbha Tantra states: "In the supreme, unsurpassed Akaniṣṭha, the body is the form of Vairocana. To the retinue of bodhisattvas, likewise, the supreme speech is unspoken, the body shows the measurement of dharmas, like the way a mirror is shown, it removes all the bad colors of things. The retinue thus sees his body."

The obscurations of Bodhi are immeasurable, appearing on the body like a mirror. From this, the ten grounds arise in sequence, and one attains the unsurpassed, perfect Bodhi. Thus it is. Fifth, time is when the great powerful ones of the ten grounds, the protector of the world, the realm of no-self-nature, the inexhaustible adornment wheel, the nature of body, speech, and mind, before the intention of the teacher and retinue become one, destroy the demon of death and constantly remain for the sake of worldly prosperity. To this, the teacher of the Sambhogakaya, the embodiment of form, is his own retinue, the Bodhisattvas of the ten grounds. The inexhaustible adornment wheel of the body, speech, and mind of the Tathagata, merges with the nature of no-self-nature, and until the intention of the teacher and retinue become one, time abides in the inexhaustible examination adornment wheel. In the Uttaratantra, it is said: 'The power of Dharma destroys the demon of death, and because of no-self-nature, the protector of the world is constant.' Thus it is. Sixth, the manner of abandoning the field of similar Dharma and the teacher's subduing: the realm where the five afflictions, such as the delusion of those to be tamed, are the greatest antidote, and the five bodies and five excellent Dharmas taught by the teacher, and the five kinds of wisdom of transformation, also from the path of seeing until the end of the ten grounds, gradually complete, and go to the essence of perfect Bodhi. To this, these Bodhisattvas' five latent stains of impurities to be purified, such as delusion, depend on the five realms to be purified, such as Akanishta, and the five teachers, such as Vairochana, and the five excellent Dharmas, such as Dharmadhatu wisdom, which are beyond words and names, and the manner of obtaining the five transformations, also in the Eighty Chapters of Magical Illusion, it is said: 'The five afflictions, such as desire, are taught as five pure wisdoms.' Thus it is. Also, when purifying the stain of delusion, at the place of the Bhagavan King of Form, one obtains the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Similarly, for hatred, at the place of the King of Consciousness, one obtains the mirror-like wisdom. For pride, at the place of the King of Feeling, one obtains the wisdom of equality. For desire, at the place of the King of Perception, one obtains the discriminating wisdom. For jealousy, at the place of the King of Formation, one obtains the five excellent Dharmas of accomplishing activity wisdom, and thus one obtains the five transformations. Thus, the manner in which the five sets of five are also spoken in relation to the ten grounds, at the time of the path of seeing, the delusion arising from conceptual thought
