For example, regarding the faults of desire, the Tantra says: "What is burned by the fire of desire, is also liberated by desire itself." Especially when the way of abiding in one's own nature becomes manifest, the transgressions that are stipulated are the nature of accumulating the conventional truth, accumulating and nourishing, like a dream, the unreal nature, with arising and ceasing, unable to grasp its own characteristics, therefore the realm of Dharma, beyond good and evil, acceptance and rejection, is transformed in a way that there is no gain or loss. As the Fivefold Tantra says: "A distinction of the stone type, when melted, produces iron and silver. The substance of the gold-transforming elixir, transforms everything into gold. Likewise, the distinction of mind, also the vows of the three families, when entering this great mandala, is called Vajradhara." This is clear. Now, the vows of the three families, just by entering the great mandala of mantra, are like things being transformed.

Declaring "desire" is a mistaken standpoint. The great master Ashvaghosa and, the teacher Kujavajra, etc., explain this meaning in various ways. Thus it is said. Among them, Those with sharp faculties enter directly from the mantra vows, those with medium faculties enter from the Bodhisattva vows, and those with dull faculties enter gradually, these three have differences. As for the latter, it is said in the "Two Examinations": "Sentient beings without fortune are difficult to tame, how can they be tamed? The Bhagavan Tathagata said, first give alms and observe the fast." This means that from the beginning, they are not vessels for mantras, or gradually guiding practitioners with faith, most people have not been liberated from the clinging to reality, and have become others of nominal consciousness, merely obtaining empowerment, it is impossible for the two lower vows to be transformed into mantras. If, at the time of obtaining empowerment, the path of seeing arises relying on the wisdom of example, that is not the actual manifestation of the path of seeing of obtaining the supreme Dharma, so even if it arises in the first moment, it will disappear in the second moment, and the manner of transformation will also disappear accordingly. Those who have not understood this meaning, in the "Secret Conduct Tantra" say: "For example, stone turns into copper, copper turns into the form of gold. In the period of copper, it has no value, when it turns into gold, copper does not appear. For the bhikshu within the vidyadhara, the Pratimoksha and Bodhicitta, the state of the two abiding, the Buddha has not said." Because of being confused in measuring the meaning of this scripture, they mistakenly believe that at the time of mantra vows, the Pratimoksha and Bodhicitta disappear. By analogy, the three vows are like water poured into water, but water is one substance from the beginning. The scriptures of both the "Hundred Thousand Verses" and the "Conduct Tantra", because the substance and form of matter are different, they cannot become their own essence, the analogy of melting and taming to make them able to become their own essence, for those who cling to reality in the minds of the Great and Small Vehicles, and those who are not skilled in means, and those with conceptual minds, with means and wisdom, and the great yoga conduct of the great equality of Dharma, the state of transformation is manifested in the changes of the head. Therefore, the great scholars who believe that the three vows are transformed, the essence is the same but the nature is different, do not seek to spy on the gaps in the treatises of those who have seen the truth of Dharmata.

If even the ultimate state of purity, which comes from the conduct of great equanimity and is transformed from the nature of discipline and vows of conditioned phenomena, is not acknowledged, then, as it is said in the Ornament of the Middle Way, "Through discipline, one goes to happy realms; through view, one attains the supreme state. Discipline is easy to lose, but not so with view." Therefore, ultimately, all conditioned truths of the path are invariably accompanied by emptiness. Moreover, the discipline of that is also contradicted by the noble teacher himself, who said, "For whom emptiness is possible, for him everything is possible. For whom emptiness is not possible, for him nothing is possible." Furthermore, since the three vows exist only as distinct entities within the aggregates of appropriation and the nature of conditioned phenomena, that is, the eighth consciousness, then the Enjoyment Body Buddhas, the eight close sons, and so forth, as well as the great accomplished ones, such as the great yogi Saraha, Padmasambhava, and Shavaripa, would also become sinners for abandoning the conduct of monks, and would inevitably fall into common and individual downfalls. Saraha said, "Behold, I am a Brahmin, and I consort with a bamboo girl." And, "Until yesterday, I was not a monk; from today onward, I am a monk. Heruka, the glorious, is the supreme monk." Because he later became the abbot of Nagarjuna. As it is said in the Noble Collection Sutra, "If a Bodhisattva practices the path of the Victorious Ones, saying, 'These beings have discipline, these have broken discipline,' engaging in various discriminations, he is extremely immoral. His discipline is lost, and he has no true discipline. For whom there is no thought of self, no thought of beings, for one who is free from desire, where is there discipline or non-discipline? For whom there is no pride in discipline or non-discipline, this is what the Tathagata has spoken as discipline." Although that is so, the unsurpassed unconditioned discipline is the realm of experience that naturally arises for the great yogis who have seen the noble truth, and it cannot be followed by the inferences of ordinary beings based on their own experiences. Therefore, on the path of practice through faith, one should rely on the intention of the scriptures.
