To the teacher and, to the faithful, speak differently. To dwell long in the Sravaka vehicle. To reveal secrets to unworthy vessels. If gross transgressions increase, the vows and commitments of that mantra practitioner are exhausted. Because of exhaustion, accomplishment is impossible. Thus, through the means of gathering, six gross transgressions are established. Moreover, upon those meanings that are in accordance, without having purified the practice, etc., to engage in mandala activities, and those who are endowed with the two vows, to transgress without need, etc., adding these two, it is taught as eight gross transgressions. That is to say, regardless of relying on the practice of number, time, or characteristics, without having purified the deity yoga, to engage in mandala activities such as empowerment, consecration, and fire puja, and to gather disciples. If one possesses the two vows of the Hearer and the Bodhisattva, from the very moment of obtaining the empowerment, one engages in the conduct of mantra as it is. Moreover, after blessing food, drink, the five meats, and the five nectars, not only do they show delight in partaking of the tsokhor, using the samaya of eating with deity yoga, but at the time of generating the downfall of the lower two trainings, they do not care at all, and unnecessarily transgress the boundaries of what is forbidden. These are those who invalidate their own training, and by practicing with devotion to mantra, not only do they not increase their qualities, but they are obstacles to the attainment of siddhis. In the commentary on the "Collected Samayas of Kaara," one should also examine the things that are taught, and one should mainly take as important that the practice is related to the time. Thus, the fourteen root downfalls of the teacher Hero's system, together with the followers, are mainly mentioned as those that are widely prevalent and well-known in the Unsurpassed, and others do not prevent such a determination of number. Thus, the fourteen common root downfalls of Unsurpassed Yoga are collected by Bhawila, are pervasive and well-known to all. In other words, in the nature of the four tantra classes, the determination of the number fourteen is clearly stated in the Kalachakra and the General Tantra, Manifest Enlightenment, etc. Among them, the fourteen according to the Kalachakra system are root downfalls, as it says in the Empowerment Chapter: Displeasing the glorious lama's mind, the root downfall of the sons is the moon. Disobeying his command becomes another downfall.

Therefore, being angry at a brother in that way is the third. Abandoning loving-kindness becomes the fourth, and even if bodhicitta slightly diminishes, it becomes an arrow. The sixth is to slander the accomplished tenets, and even mountains should not give secrets to immature people. From the aggregates of affliction, it becomes a naga, and again the ninth is disbelief in the Dharma of faith. Illusory loving-kindness and giving bliss separated from names, etc., clinging to sects and being violent. Speaking ill of virtuous beings is worse than the sun, and breaking vows is worse than others. Surely slandering all women will turn into ashes, and it is also the same for those who abide in the Vajrayana. The meaning of what is continuously taught in this way, the first line of "Possessing Glory" retains the first root downfall. The second line, from "disobeying his command" to "becomes," reveals the second root downfall of disobeying the guru's command. From "surely" to "the third" reveals being angry at a brother. Directly reveals "abandoning loving-kindness becomes the fourth," and from "bodhi" to "becomes an arrow" thereafter, abandoning the ultimate and conventional bodhicitta is the fifth. Dividing the single line of "the sixth" in half, directly reveals the sixth, and the seventh is also spoken of with the word "mountain." Cutting off the single line of "aggregates," therefore the naga is the eighth, and the rest reveal the ninth root downfall. By saying "illusory loving-kindness," speaking beautiful words from the mouth but harboring malice in the heart, the tenth root downfall of such a deceitful person is the meaning of confused protection methods, being two-faced. This is because loving-kindness is not abandoned in the heart, but the body and speech contradict it. Thereafter, abandoning names, etc., to the word "violent" reveals the eleventh root downfall. From "pure" to "sun" reveals the twelfth. From "vow" to "other" reveals the thirteenth. The entire line of "women" summarizes the last root downfall with synonyms for the name Manu. In this way, the fourteen root downfalls of the Kalachakra, and the two mentioned above, are somewhat the same as the first root downfall, etc., and somewhat different, and most of the meanings are not the same, so by analyzing the words with subtle intelligence, the similarities and differences can be known.
