Empowerment with the assembly bell and name. The name empowerment is: As the great accomplished Dari Kapa said, add "ཀྱཻ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) to the beginning of the name of the deity to whom the flower is thrown, and crown it with the names of auspiciousness and Vajra. "Having the sound of auspiciousness and Vajra, the teacher should recite three times," as such, hold the Vajra bell on the head and recite three times. Similarly, for headdresses, etc., one should also know the method of purifying the disciple (and) Ratnasambhava, the aggregate of feeling, etc., and combining the speech blessing. As stated in the Garland Treatise: "Arising from the seed syllable "ཏྲཱཾ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, tram, literal Chinese meaning), after contemplating Ratnasambhava, bestow the headdress made of silk, etc., on the disciple's head." And so on, in sequence. Thus, having obtained the wisdom empowerment, because one is born into that family, one will not transgress the actions of the family, and from its branch vows and the two certainties, the self-tradition of the Yoga Tantra is: "You shall not kill living beings, nor take what is not given, nor engage in sexual misconduct, nor speak falsely, and alcohol is the root of all downfall, you should completely abstain from it." Thus, one learns the five training principles, and also abides in the five training principles from the Peak Tantra, therefore it is also common with the Unsurpassed Tantra. From the aspect of empowerment, it is to combine the result of transforming the five aggregates and the five elements with the self-nature of the abandonment and realization of the five Tathagatas. Even so, the ultimate understanding cannot eliminate afflictions and ignorance by itself, because it has not abandoned the dualistic appearance of grasping the object to be purified and the means of purification. For example, in the case of water empowerment, the object to be purified is the consciousness aggregate, and anger is produced by the sudden obscuration of ignorance, which is the object of the mind's grasping. In reality, it has never truly existed on the object. The nature of existence is non-existent, but it is produced by illusion, just as mistaking a colored rope for a snake, or a wooden post for a person. Similarly, the consciousness aggregate, even though it is not established by its own characteristics, appears to be established. If one fully recognizes the nature of phenomena, and directly sees it as an illusion, that is the suchness that does not create Buddhas. Furthermore, the anger that arises from consciousness due to conditions is merely an illusion created by the mind's delusion.
