If a stake is actually placed for some purpose, it is removed with the mantra of the four Hūṃs (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), and visualized as dissolving into one's own hand-seal vajra. In the stake hole, recite the seed syllables of the five mothers, and pour in order the colored powders corresponding to the sequential stacking of the five elements. Earth, water, eye, and Māmakī, fire, wind, white-clad Samaya Tārā, the sovereign mother of the space realm, the three realms are inherently Buddha-fields. Recite and remember their meaning. Again, with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand, take a little of each of the five colors and place it in the palm of the left hand. Recite: Oṃ āḥ sarva pañca ratna samaye hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱསརྦ་པཉྩ་རཏྣ་ས་མ་ཡེ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ आः सर्वपञ्चरत्न समये हुं हुं हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ sarva pañca ratna samaye hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ āḥ all five jewels samaya hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ) Visualize the tips of the five fingers of the right hand with a sun disc, on which are the seed syllables of the five heroes, and the tips of the five fingers of the left hand with a moon disc, on which are marked the seed syllables of the five mothers. Bring the five fingers of the right hand together and place them on the five colors in the palm of the left hand, visualizing their meaning as the essence of wisdom jewels, appearing as the Mount Meru of great skeletons. Then comes the application of the colors: First, the teacher himself resides in the center or inside of the mandala, according to the method of application in the Abhisambodhi of Vairocana: "Colors should be applied from the inside, do not apply colors from the outside." Therefore, go to the center and first take the white color. Recite: "This is the purity of the Dharma realm, which liberates the realm of sentient beings, write the heart essence of the great mandala of Akṣobhya Vajra." In accordance with the symbols of each wisdom. Furthermore, the method of applying with the vajra fist and other hand-seals of the left hand, as stated in the General Tantra: "Or form the vajra fist, or form the iron hook hand-seal, or form the begging bowl hand-seal, or apply with the hand of intelligence." Therefore, starting from the Lord of Power, paint sequentially from the outside in. The area of each of the five walls is limited to the mandala measured by a cubit of the root line, one-twentieth of the door, that is, the length of the broken thread, the height is about half a small finger, the thickness is mixed, without being tainted by faults such as being crooked and going out of bounds, apply in a clockwise direction, as stated in the Vajra Ḍākinī Tantra: "The width of each color is the measure of one-twentieth of the door. If the colors are uneven, crooked

If it is too low, the low line will not accomplish anything. Inclination will cause suffering. Therefore, the measurement should be like half of a little finger, drawn high and straight. If it is thicker than that, it will cause illness; if it is lower, wealth will be depleted. Inclination will lead to mutual strife; breakage will cause both the guru and the acharya to die. If it is drawn non-clockwise, it will be struck by pigment powder. Thus it is said. Among these, being struck by pigment powder means being struck by powder. Striking with a hammer means it is determined to be destroyed. If it is drawn counterclockwise, then due to faults such as the elbow of the arm being finished and mixed together, the lineage will be cut off. Like this, if one understands the equality of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, then for those whose sudden conceptualizations are suppressed, there is no need to examine the quality of the pigments. However, for those who cannot combine the thought of Suchness with divine pride, it is also necessary to examine the pigments, because, what fault is there in applying the pigments? This is for those who have no thought and action. For those who have good thought and action, no one can create obstacles. Because the acharyas who are dominated by discrimination, first draw one gate-sized mandala themselves, cover it with a kapala, and place it. Afterwards, the students rejoice as they wish. As the Vajra Dakini says, after properly instructing the students or skilled artisans, painters, etc., distribute them according to the ritual and have them draw. When the walls are properly connected, the method of examining the lines is as Kukkuraja said: A low line cannot accomplish, inclination will cause suffering, breakage will displease the guru, and will cause death or illness. Breakage or excess will cause illness, and disorientation will become a place of confusion. When this happens, the method of averting it is, as it says in the mala: The bad omens should be averted with the sound of the bell and the tip of the vajra. This Dharmadhatu is pure, the realm of sentient beings is completely liberated, and the mandala of the great, joyous Vajra should be well drawn. Thus it is said, remembering the meaning of the Dharmadhatu's self-nature being pure, avert it with the Vajra song that liberates from the sudden arising of virtuous and non-virtuous conceptualizations in the realm of sentient beings.
