The Indians explain that "irreversible" means that it cannot be taken away by others. Like this, how to bestow vows for the pledges of mantra, tantra, four mudras, etc., and the two types of aspiration Bodhicitta and engaging Bodhicitta, taking refuge in the Three Jewels, etc., when requesting to grant them to me? In the 'Perfectly Pure Tantra' it says: First bestow the Pratimoksha vow, then bestow the great Bodhisattva vow, then explain the Madhyamaka teachings, and finally bestow the empowerment of the Fruition Great Vehicle, and explain the fruition tantras. Also, in the 'Two Examinations' it says: First, the Uposatha should be bestowed, then the ten precepts should be bestowed. To this, the Vaibhashikas say this, and the Sutrantikas are the same. Etc., in accordance with this, the complete teachings of Sutra and Tantra are completely shown on a single path of Secret Mantra, like the tenets of the Guhyagarbha Tantra. Similarly, if it can serve as a basis for Pratimoksha, there are also rituals for bestowing the Pratimoksha vows of even lay devotees before the Bodhisattva vow. Therefore, one should understand the circumstances of whether it can serve as a basis for the vow or not, and then distinguish the special differences of the vows. Any refuge and related Bodhicitta that serve as the basis for bestowing the vow is a common vow, which belongs to both Mantra and Paramita, so disciples should be made to receive the empowerment. On top of that, the vows of the five families are the vows of becoming a master, which are unique to the Vajrayana, and unlike the Kriya and Charya, they are the special vows of the Yoga and Anuttarayoga, so do not bestow them after the empowerment of the master. If we consider the empowerment ritual broadly, the 'Mayajala Tantra' says: Taking refuge in the Three Jewels, etc., of the four lines, the first line is taking refuge, the second line is confession, because the continuum has become corrupted by powerful sins, making it difficult to generate the vow, the third line is because one does not possess great merit, it is also difficult to generate the vow, so in the end, the accumulation of merit is suddenly gathered by the limb of rejoicing. The fourth line is taking the vow, which is to first understand the characteristics of the Bodhisattva vow well.

I take the extremely sharp faculty as the standard. Otherwise, even mere aspiration cannot be considered a real precept. Moreover, how can a way of conduct that does not match the words be considered an entering precept? Therefore, for those with the bodhisattva lineage, when their abilities awaken and their aspiration is firm, when they take the vow of entering intention to learn the conduct, starting from "Buddha, Dharma, and the supreme Sangha," and connecting with the two lines, "I will cherish all sentient beings as my guests," to take it with this rite, If it is good like this, then the arising and ceasing of the precepts also follow the intention. Therefore, it is absolutely important that the way of taking the aspiration and entering precepts respectively, and their expression, can be well understood. Thus, once the common precepts of this occasion are taken, it is equivalent to promising to learn the six perfections and other conduct of a bodhisattva. Therefore, it is absolutely inappropriate to easily abandon those root downfalls that cause the precepts to be destroyed. Because mantra is a particularly excellent part of the bodhisattva's treasury, and not a view of other schools that contradicts the actual meaning and goes against it. Like this, after taking the common precepts, requesting to take the precepts of the acharya, and then truly taking the precepts of the five families, that is, the master proclaims and the disciple takes, this is the characteristic of the precepts. The first verse from "Thus, the protectors of the three times" to "Sentient beings are placed in nirvana" shows the aspiration, the second verse shows the entering intention, and the remaining verses clearly divide the mantra precepts, which is obvious. Since it has great significance and does not contradict diligent practice, one should not establish inverted reasoning. Thus, for the common and individual vows and precepts of the five families, in what will be explained below, there must be a clear and firm distinction, and there is no separation like "this should be taken, this should not be taken, this should not be taken." Therefore, generating the intention to take the precepts is absolutely important. Like this, the precepts arising from the ritual, its obtaining, abandoning, and guarding all follow the intention. Therefore, it must be recognized that it completely depends on the purity of the fundamental ritual. Finally, this mantra precept

In short, one must refrain from misconduct that contradicts ordinary appearances and attachments. Accumulate virtuous Dharma by taking the profound and swift path of generation and completion stages as the basis for learning. In order to benefit others, one must attain the power to perform the four activities freely, becoming a being who benefits sentient beings. It is essential to ascertain the three types of vows bound by specific mantra vows. Therefore, the timing of bestowing mantra vows is no different from bestowing them at this time or at the beginning of the main practice, because the guru who bestows the vows possesses the vows as a basis, and the disciple generates the vows in any situation where no root downfall has occurred. If the bestower does not possess them, the disciple will not generate them either. Therefore, the guru himself must strive to purify his own mindstream in every way and in all circumstances, and should not be content merely because others and others revere him as a Vajra Master. For the vows in the mindstream of ordinary beings appear to deteriorate by relying on the flattery of others. Then, protect with mantras and water filled with nectar. Visualize the disciple as the deity, and at the three places (head, throat, heart), touch with fragrant water with the right fist holding a vajra, according to whatever method is convenient, whether from top to bottom or from bottom to top. Contemplate the three seals residing in the three syllables (Om, Ah, Hum), bless them as body, speech, and mind, and bless the sense faculties, etc., making them objects of offering, and offer the five desirable qualities. From this time onwards, liberate yourself from the faults of samsara and from the attachment of enjoying desirable qualities with craving, and transform the illusory offerings into merit. Thus, the intention was conveyed. Then, in connection with purifying the obscurations of the three doors, first, in order to purify the obscuration of speech, which is the external sign of divination, prepare a square enclosure for discarding the toothpick, smeared with cow dung, etc., or prepare a bouquet of eight-petaled lotus fragrant flowers. Since Ashvattha trees, etc., are not found in Tibet, choose a straight, moderately sized milky tree, free from defects such as cracks and insect infestations. To symbolize the understanding of the arising and cessation of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana from the twelve links of dependent origination, make it twelve finger-lengths in size with three corners. Measure twelve fingers from the rosary, and the three corners should be completely
