Although there is a sudden arising of ego-grasping, it does not sink into the pure expanse of the Dharmadhatu. Because the collection of realizations that deceive through sudden circumstances, by the ordinary self-nature, the lord of existence, obscures those with initial karma, among the two methods of guiding, the unity of the nature of Shamatha and Vipassana, and their separateness, in the first approach, meditation on the aspect of abiding, and wisdom on the aspect of clarity, in the union of Shamatha and Vipassana, one abides in the meaning of non-duality. Thus, it is taught. Here, for those minds of the eight consciousnesses that arise suddenly with ego-grasping, which, when in accordance with the Dharmadhatu, cannot revert to the nature of awareness, there is also a common and corresponding method of accomplishing mind-abiding. This is not prevented from the perspective of Prasangika (reductio ad absurdum): 'Meditation is mind-abiding, cutting off inner and outer movements, when the grasped and the grasper cease.' And, 'Channels, winds, bindus, bodily postures, objects of focus, and emptiness are what is desired as meditation.' Thus, the nature of mind-abiding relies on a focused object; the necessity is to hope for the result from stabilizing that very object; the activity is to accomplish it in connection with Shamatha and Vipassana, which aims to stop the grasped and the grasper. As it is said in the Klong Drug Pa (Six Spaces): 'In the nature of mind, which is beyond expression, because Shamatha and Vipassana arise spontaneously, the state of equipoise and subsequent states are perfected as unwavering meditation.' Therefore, if one does not directly recognize awareness that has been established on the ground of view, and does not know how to familiarize oneself with the equality of the three times in that very state, merely obtaining a glimpse of the introduction to the Great Perfection, and occasionally considering the Dharma of leisure and opportunity as a transformation that transcends acceptance and rejection, taking and abandoning, it will not benefit at the time of death and in the Bardo. And because the root of wandering in Samsara is not severed, the way to learn the Suchness of meditation is explained in the Prasangika: 'The fault of not meditating is that the characteristics of Samsara become manifest; self and other, objects of knowledge, views with words, objects with focus, and afflictions bind one to the self. The path to Buddhahood is also lost, and the nature of the result is not known, and there is no basis for the equality of all phenomena, and self-awareness binds the three realms, and one falls due to being conceptual.' Therefore, in general, in the methods of explaining Shamatha and Vipassana separately

Although the Sutra path has been well explained, here, in order to approach the intention of the noble Ada Yeshe, it is refined, and the meaning of viewing the two as one is explained. Like this, the Dharma that is clung to as samsara and nirvana, being naturally pure, in this unmoving samadhi, dwelling with single-pointed wisdom, is quiescence. Its characteristic is that with the awareness of no entity, the clarity of the discriminating wisdom is insight. As the noble Ada Yeshe said: All Dharmas are naturally pure, therefore, one should cultivate the awareness of no entity. Thus. If one is accustomed to the meditation of quiescence and insight being one, then all Dharmas gather into the two Bodhicittas, and all subsequent attainments appear as the nature of great compassion. Therefore, all Dharmas gather into the Bodhicitta, so one should cultivate the awareness of great compassion. Thus. When, in equipoise, one is accustomed to the emptiness of quiescence and insight being one, and in subsequent attainment, one is accustomed to the union of compassion and wisdom, then the two accumulations are perfected simultaneously, and the way of touching the noble truth with the nature of luminosity. All Dharmas are naturally unfindable and luminously radiant, so one should cultivate the awareness of not clinging to anything. Thus. Moreover, entity is leakage, it is the obscuration of knowledge, if it is destroyed by the individual self-awareness wisdom, then the Buddha-nature of realizing one's own mind arises. If one realizes the mind, it is wisdom, so one should cultivate the awareness of not seeking the Buddha elsewhere. Thus. The four lines summarize all the Sutras of practice. The awareness here should not be regarded as the nature of the aggregates held by the entity of one's own continuum. Because the five aggregates should also be truly viewed as empty in nature. It is contrary to this. Therefore, the awareness of the state of viewing emptiness is the discriminating wisdom, however, its function is the all-pervading Dharmata, so at the time of the wisdom of hearing and thinking, it is the conceptual investigation with discrimination, which will be explained below. At the time of the wisdom of meditation, it is non-conceptual, so there is no limit of habit.
