From the "Secret Essence of the Way to Attain the Stage of Vidyadhara": The samaya of understanding and entering, the cause and condition for ripening the fruit, whoever becomes powerful, is known as the Buddha-field of Vidyadharas. Thus, the characteristic of the cause of understanding is to understand the manner of the four thoughts. The characteristic of the condition of entering is to enter by practicing with the conduct of the three doors as it is known. The characteristic of the fruit is that it becomes manifest through familiarity. Therefore, the characteristics of understanding and entering are none other than connecting to the fruit, so it is also a dharani. Because it ripens the fruit, it is also a cause and condition. Now, having become powerful, it becomes the power to produce the fruit. Even if the fruit has not yet manifested, one has already obtained the actual basis called Vidyadhara, and one has also received prophecies in the Buddha-fields, because one has obtained the empowerment of the Vajra name and is able to unite equally with the Buddha. As it is said in the Root Tantra of Equal Union: By turning the wheel of lineage, any chief can be accomplished. In this life, it causes the attainment of Vidyadhara, and by that, great bliss is accomplished. Such a Vidyadhara, which lineage of birth and going is gathered by? It is gathered by the completely pure lineage of beings and gods of the desire realm, and the birth and going of the form realm, such as Brahma, like the five pure lineages. In the formless realm, because there is no leisure, one does not seek the meaning of birth. Thus, in the previous way, it is said that these who take birth are abiding on a special ground: The birth of humans, gods, and Brahma, although holding purity, is on a ground of transformation. Also, the grounds gathered by craving are implicit here, so abiding with wisdom is special. In the tantric texts, it is said that the thirteen grounds are Vajradhara, or the great assembly of the wheel of letters, and the ground of Vidyadharas. The excellence of the ground is the ground of Vidyadharas. For example, a dancer swallowed by a water bird, although not separated from the water, belongs to the land. Thus, from the wisdom of the meaning of empowerment, the cause and condition are powerful.

Having become like this, it gradually manifests from the path of seeing. As previously explained, because the habit is not stable, although one may not be completely free from the realm of desire for a time, being seized by wisdom, one continuously habituates oneself on the path of generation and completion stages. Until the ultimate fruit is achieved, one is called a "Vidyadhara" (holder of knowledge). Even after achieving the ultimate, there is no fault in holding the name "Vidyadhara" on one side. This is the view of Panchen Rongpo. This is similar to the way in which, from the perspective of characteristics, the ten perfections are the gateway, and at the end of the ten bhumis, unsurpassed enlightenment is achieved. However, in the path of mantra, one does not need to practice these for a long time. It is as swift as an illusion. The way in which the ground of the vidyadhara is spontaneously perfected, without seeking cause and effect in sequence, is as follows: 'The Paramitas are all complete. Skillful means and wisdom, the best of skillful means. The most excellent of wisdom. The distinctions of the bhumis are thirteen. The distinctions of cause and effect are spontaneously perfected.' Thus it is said. Furthermore, knowing that there is no clinging to any phenomena and that there is no obstruction is the perfection of generosity. In equality, not abiding in the concept of boundaries of protection with awareness is the perfection of ethics. Not being confused and not distinguishing between good and bad is the perfection of patience. Having no acceptance or rejection and the field of activity becoming a gathering is the perfection of diligence. Although the senses engage with objects, they are not defiled by the fault of attachment, which is the perfection of meditation. Realizing the nature of reality without distortion, the two grounds of samsara and nirvana, all phenomena are pacified from the realm of reality, which is wisdom. From that, being skilled in accomplishing the benefit of oneself and others is skillful means. The field and the realm of activity become completely pure, which is aspiration. The asceticism that cannot be overwhelmed by unfavorable conditions is strength. Not merely following examples and terms, but realizing the way in which the Dharmakaya of the Buddhas abides, is the perfection of wisdom. In the sutra "Asked by Brahma Vishesacitta," not thinking is generosity. Not abiding is ethics. Not distinguishing anything is patience. Having no acceptance or rejection is diligence. Not
