Also, it has not reached the other shore. From the Tenth Chapter of the Essence of Earth Sutra, it is said that the way the two accumulations are not perfected is that one does not fixate on them. It says, "Not fixating on that is the accumulation of merit and wisdom." Some say that it may be possible for the accumulation of wisdom to be like that, but if the accumulation of merit is like that, then the result of conventional truth will become inferior. It will not become inferior, because at the time when one mainly practices the path of meditation and wisdom, it is intended to transform the parts that are in accordance with merit into parts that are in accordance with liberation, so that they can be used inexhaustibly. This is the (Buddha's) intention. As it says in the Sutra of Supreme Wisdom: "Bodhisattva asks the seed of wisdom, how do virtuous monks and yogis accumulate the accumulations? The Buddha replied: The accumulations are merit and wisdom. Accumulation is increasing. The Bodhisattva asked: What is the accumulation of merit like? The Buddha replied: The accumulation of merit is called the accumulation of samsara, like the water in a cow's hoof print. Why? Because it quickly disappears, is exhausted, deceives children, and after experiencing the happiness of gods and humans, it returns to the lower realms. The accumulation of wisdom is called the accumulation of nirvana, like the water of the great ocean, it does not disappear, it is not exhausted, it is not deceived, and it enables one to attain nirvana. The seed of wisdom, one should only accumulate the accumulation of wisdom." Therefore, the Prajnaparamita can never cause the result to revert to the cause, so its wisdom nature, the Great Perfection path, is the ultimate instruction that directly reveals the reality of the Prajnaparamita. In this way, the realm of the Great Perfection is measured. Therefore, this is the secret of all perfect Buddhas, which is not characterized by emptiness, does not adhere to the meaning of extremes, and does not take the Middle Way as its goal. Abandoning self-nature, the Great Perfection is accomplished. As it says in the Oral Transmission, the Collected Intentions Sutra: Emaho! Rare and wonderful Dharma! The secret of all perfect Buddhas! Unfabricated, unmodified, uncreated, the true nature is completely pure. Emaho! Rare and wonderful Dharma! The secret of all perfect Buddhas! The rootless nature of mind is the root of all phenomena. Emaho! Rare and wonderful Dharma! The perfect
