etc. If one cannot distinguish between the literal meaning and the hidden meaning, the mantra practitioner will fall. In general, all stages of the Mahayana explain the four meanings: the straightforward meaning, the definite meaning, the hidden meaning, and the intended meaning. Therefore, not all the Buddha's words should be taken literally, nor should they be considered completely contrary to the literal meaning. Because the words of the Tathagata are not entirely subject to words and expressions. In particular, in the practice of mantra, if one does not fully understand the meaning of practicing merely out of faith, and the special allowances granted to those who have attained realization and are fully familiar, then if one practices the hidden meaning according to the literal meaning, one will fall into the lower realms. The commentary on the *Heart Drop of the Vinaya* says: In the Mantrayana, because others do not understand the hidden meaning, if (the practitioner) kills, etc., enjoys the property of the sangha and temples, clings to eternalist and nihilistic views, becomes attached to enjoying external objects, and insults the Three Jewels in the guise of a teacher, he will fall into hell. Therefore, in this treatise on the Vajrayana, when revealing the hidden secrets, for the larger words, the meaning that does not contradict the intention of the tantra is shown through the three aspects of outer, inner, and secret; and for the meanings that are inconsistent, when making them consistent, the meaning that does not contradict the real meaning and is consistent with the form is shown through the aspects of self-nature, intentional, and meaningful connection. Therefore, dividing a word into two parts, literal meaning and hidden meaning, is also to ensure that the levels of meaning do not contain contradictions. Here, taking the case of literal meaning as an example, like this, for those who understand the hidden secrets, that is, the meaning of the nature of things, when they are under the control of skillful means and great compassion, for the hidden secrets, such as "Tana" (藏文,དྷཱ་ན,梵文天城体,dhā na,梵文罗马拟音,dhana, giving) and "Gana" (藏文,གྷ་ན,梵文天城体,gha na,梵文罗马拟音,ghana, dense), etc., because they are mixed with the supreme vow, that is, the conduct of the great equality dharma, the way of entering into the literal meaning is also completely grasped by the great power of skillful means and wisdom, and is completely purified through the way of transforming the state. However, in the stage of individual liberation vows, if four parajikas such as killing occur, then the four root vows will be

Therefore, all these non-virtuous friends, including the five things with alcohol, are used here as the vows of the five families, so there is no reason to unite such contradictory things. People like the ruler Lha Lama also consider the rituals of Sutra and Tantra to be contradictory, and regard the Great Seal Bindu Tantra and others as impure. This needs to be explained: Just as the vows of the Hearers are tangible vows generated by the Mind-Only who regard things as real. For example, at the time of killing, consciousness abides in its own continuum, experiencing the afflictions arising from hatred. In this state, accompanied by the thought of killing, the action is accepted. Ultimately, causing the life of another to end, thereby completing the failing limb of killing, the root of the vows is destroyed. In the stage of the Bodhisattva vows, one is liberated from the thought of harming others, and with method as the main thing, by the power of great compassion, one engages in benefiting others, thus transcending the evil and non-virtue of possessing such limbs. In the stage of mantra, from the aspect of method, it is generated by the mind of great compassion; from the aspect of wisdom, it is separated from regarding things as real, and transcends the wrong views of clinging to characteristics, therefore the limb of killing is not completed, like an illusion. "Existence and non-existence are not seen in the Middle Way," therefore it is the category of ultimate truth. "The appearance is like an eye disease," therefore it is the display of conventional truth. "There is no life, nor is there life to be cut off," therefore it shows that self-nature is not established, and if it is not established in this way, karma is also false, and the four are not established. "Life and person are only delusions," therefore it shows that both the agent and the action are delusions arising from illusion, appearing as mere wrong views, thus showing no self-nature. Similarly, for not giving, if one realizes that there is no duality of self and other continuums, then not giving is also not visible, and taking from there is also not visible. For example, the gods of the Joyful Paradise, when they enjoy the enjoyments they have emanated themselves, there is no fault of taking what is not given there. By analogy, a monk abiding in celibacy, even if he has the ability, if he closes the doors of the senses, he will have the fault of wrong conduct.
