The unliberated refers to the assembly of Hearers and Solitary Realizers, Arhats who have not been liberated from the habitual tendencies of the obscuration of knowledge. The untranscended refers to those not liberated from the bonds of the two obscurations, from Brahma and other ordinary beings up to the noble ones who are still learning. The unexpired refers to those who have not expired from the torment of suffering, such as the hell beings. In short, one vows to delight all sentient beings in the non-abiding nirvana. Furthermore, in the 'Summit Tantra,' it says: 'Do not despise the slayers of gods and demigods, but respect them. Do not trample upon hand seals, vehicles, weapons, and emblems.' Among these three—gods, demigods, and secret ones—the first two are explicitly stated. The secret ones are yakshas who know the Buddha's vows and abide by them, thus protecting the teachings and should not be despised. Hand seals generally refer to the four: Dharma seals, action seals, vow seals, and the great seal, none of which should be disparaged. In particular, the complete form of a deity is manifest. Vehicles refer to the thrones, cushions, and mounts of lamas. Weapons refer to swords, mallets, and other implements made for the deities to hold. Emblems refer to the emblems of the five families. Furthermore, it is taught that one should not step on the shadows of lamas and stupas, which is expressed in a derogatory manner. Similarly, inferior substances refer to old offerings such as flowers and used water offerings. One should not place or consume these, nor should one carelessly discard them where they are placed. If it is unavoidable, such as having to walk over the shadow of a stupa, one should think of entering under the empowerment of the vajra force action mantra (Tibetan: བཛྲ་བེ་ག་ཨ་ཀྲམ་ཧཱུཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र वेग अक्रम हुं, Sanskrit Romanized: vajra vega akrama hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Vajra Swiftly Not-going Hūṃ). As the 'Summit Tantra' says: 'Wheels, vajras, lotuses, etc., whatever the hand seals of emblems, should not be trampled upon, nor should they be eaten. Likewise, the shadow of an inferior deity, should not be trampled by feet. One should not sit upon it, nor should it be placed again. The good hand implements of the deity, and the emblems of the deity's vehicles, should not be trampled or despised, and should not harm sentient beings.' It also says: 'The body and hand implements of the deity, the vehicles of the deity, the shadow of an inferior deity, and all the emblems of the deity, various foods, and objects made in the form of emblems, should never be trampled upon.' In particular, killing and taking what is not given
