It is solely about keeping mindfulness close to the meaning of the ground. Among these, the first five to be practiced are as stated in the tantra: 'Giving away liberation, taking what is not given, falsehood and harsh speech, with the supreme method firmly grasped, in those situations, know them.' In accordance with this, it is also said in the Compendium Sutra: 'You should kill living beings, you should also speak false words, you should also take what is not given, you should also rely on women. Through these Vajra paths, all sentient beings will be liberated.' So it is said. The second five not to be abandoned are: desire, hatred, delusion, the five afflictions. The five not to be abandoned separate from one's own continuum. As it is said in the Clear Light Commentary: 'The five correct poisons and the five wrong poisons.' Therefore, realizing the equality of samsara and nirvana without distinction is delusion. Having compassion for sentient beings who have not realized this is desire, and hatred arises to liberate wrong perceptions, and pride where the view of realizing equality has not died, and jealousy where dualistic views and practices are not absorbed into the expanse of reality. If these five are abandoned, they are not close to the meaning, therefore they are called the five correct poisons, which are the hidden meaning. As it is said in the Extensive Commentary: 'In the midst of conceptual thought is self-arising wisdom, conceptual thought is unmoving, wisdom is inexpressible.' So it is said. The five wrong poisons are: the general characteristics are impermanence, suffering, selflessness, lack of control, and emptiness. Their individual characteristics are: attachment and craving for external objects and internal sentient beings is desire, always tormenting others is hatred, being arrogant and lacking gentleness is pride, and being jealous of others' prosperity and abundance is jealousy. If these are abandoned, one turns away from the space where the nature of knowing does not inherently possess afflictions, and strays onto the path of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers. Therefore, in the Means of Liberation it says: 'Delusion, hatred, and pride, desire and great jealousy, possessing vows without protection, now this is the Vajra Samaya.' So it says. In its commentary, the Second Buddha, Padmasambhava, said: 'Delusion is the Samaya of Vairochana, why? Because ignorance cannot be abandoned, wisdom cannot be cultivated, because in the realm of Dharma, the taste is one.' So it is said. Although this is the case, in the present situation

Those great fools are confused about the nature of secret mantras. Lacking devotion and bodhicitta, and lacking skillful means, wisdom, and samadhi, they have no liberation. Those who enter mantras that appear like reasoning and believe that cause and effect can be liberated simultaneously are completely controlled by discriminating thoughts, merely clinging tightly to an attached mind. Very few truly walk the genuine path. Why is that? For example, some believe that when intense anger arises in the mind, the natural fading away of that anger is the path. If that were the case, then even a son who kills his father, possessing autonomous awareness, would not be tainted by karma, and the so-called liberation would merely be a name. Some think of it as the path by examining it with logic. If that is the case, then it is no different from the Vehicle of Reasoning, similar to cultivating virtuous roots and corresponding afflictions, and the idea of practicing the antidote path for the benefit of sentient beings. Some cultivate loving-kindness as an antidote to anger, thereby making the antidote and what is to be abandoned into a duality. If that is the case, then the antidote is the path, not transforming afflictions into the path. Some believe that the consciousness following the cessation of anger, like being exhausted, is the path. If that is the case, then afflictions and wisdom are mutually independent. Therefore, the nature of these is that when afflictions arise, they possess the aspect of either what is to be abandoned or the antidote. Therefore, it is not a path established by its own nature, but like a severed umbilical cord. After the severance, it is connected by the junction of sharp analysis, merely blocking the result of separation, and a true antidote path. So, what should it be like? Because afflictions do not have an autonomous nature in the nature of knowable things, when desire and so on arise, they immediately manifest as the dharmata of emptiness, and therefore there is no self-contradiction. For it, establishing a connection through logical reasoning is also not established. The elaboration of cultivating the antidote to what is to be abandoned is naturally pacified. If one knows that the nature of each is not ceased, that nature itself is dharmata, then because the nature of clinging to afflictions is purified, it cannot perform the act of accumulating karma. And the habitual tendencies that rely on it will not increase, so there is no need to abandon them. As the Vajra Sutra says: "Afflictions are like illusions, empty in nature. Liberation comes from knowing their impermanent nature oneself."
