Because the conduct contradicts the basis, it is called the Action Tantra. Thus, the way to summarize the essentials of the path through what is to be meditated upon and what is directly realized is threefold: the conduct of entering, the conduct of combining, and the conduct of accomplishing. Among these, the first, the external entering, refers to making one a suitable vessel through empowerment. The internal entering refers to the manifestation of the Tathāgatagarbha in the Action Tantra. The deity body of the Lord of Secrets is also twofold: completely pure and completely impure. Among these, completely pure refers to the nature of realization, which is free from all characteristics. Completely impure refers to the form with characteristics, namely color and shape. Among these, the two aspects of the deity accomplish two necessities: with characteristics, one accomplishes what has characteristics; without characteristics, one can also generate siddhis with characteristics. Thus, in the two yogas of having characteristics and not having characteristics, having characteristics refers to meditating with hands like the form of the deity, while not having characteristics refers to meditating on emptiness, viewing emptiness as the ultimate deity. The view of Ācārya Buddha Guhya abides in the intent of the tantras. Continuing from the previous statement: With characteristics, the Buddhas approve of the siddhis with characteristics. By abiding in the absence of characteristics, one can also accomplish what has characteristics. As it is said, it is very clear. Understanding this meaning, Buddha Gupta said: Having sat on the vajra seat, meditate on the six deities with offerings and requests. Emptiness, letters, sound, form, and mudra, characteristics, are the six deities. Thus, emptiness, letters, sound, form, mudra, and characteristics, all six are established as the name of the deity. If it is thought that merely the yoga of emptiness will hinder the attainment of Buddhahood, then the obstacles caused by merely the yoga of characteristics are even greater, because clinging to substantiality is what is accepted by outsiders and those who say that external objects are real. Therefore, one should not cling to what is explicitly stated in the profound sūtras or the respective stages of the tantras, which are in accordance with the order of those to be tamed, and understand the meaning of the scriptures too narrowly. Just as the cause of accomplishing the form body cannot be other than the form of hands, then to accomplish Brahmā one needs four faces, and to accomplish Indra

If one were to contemplate the likenesses of the cycles of existence of the happy and unhappy realms, such as the thousand-eyed one, there would be no end. Why? Because in the perfections and the great mind, etc., the six perfections and the means of serving the lama, etc., are taught first, and it is thought that the three kayas of fruition are accomplished only by special wisdom that does not depend on the appearance of signs and examples. In the mantras, the path of the generation stage is said to stray into the three realms by the self-existent generation stage that is not grasped by the view of emptiness. Therefore, the mere yoga of the deity that is not grasped by the calculation of emptiness is undoubtedly a path devoid of the wisdom of selflessness in this case. On the side of wisdom, the sound of emptiness, which does not depend on contemplating the image of forms, is connected with great compassion, which is the path of the union of means and wisdom, the basis of the accomplishment of the dharmakaya, and the source of all form bodies. Therefore, that scripture clearly shows the distinction between the two, with signs and without signs, and although one wants to contemplate with the appearance of face and hands, most of them follow and agree with the sutras, and first generate the self and the front as different with signs, but in the end, when the habit is stable, one knows the appearance of the meaning in the mind, and cuts off all the elaborations of the outside, and contemplates the color and shape, knowing that it is only like the appearance of the impure deity and the actions of body and speech, and then strives for the inner yoga without signs, and establishes the sign of the completely pure deity in that very reality. If you think that the image and sound of the deity are involved in it, so it is with form, then it is not certain, because the form and sound are also involved in the dharmakaya and the essence kaya, etc. Thus, after having well understood the two yogas with and without signs, the second practice of union is to be known from the Adornment of Clear Realization, etc., according to the manner of relying on the recitation of the four outer limbs and the four inner limbs. Here, it is very common to generate oneself as the samaya being, to generate the wisdom deity in front, to take the siddhi from it, and to think that the wisdom deity does not enter oneself. However, in the collected praise commentary, it says: The essence, mudras, mantras, etc., how to desire the manner
