The precious source attains the supreme Dharma. In the north, Donyi Drub attained the path of seeing and possessed twelve hundred qualities, and saw the faces of a hundred Buddhas in an instant, and so on. Completing the meditation of twelve thousand such mandalas, one attains the second bhumi. Completing the meditation of twelve kotis, one attains the third bhumi. Completing the meditation of a hundred kotis of trillions, one attains the fourth bhumi. Completing the meditation of a thousand kotis of trillions, one attains the fifth bhumi. Completing the meditation of a hundred thousand kotis of trillions, one attains the sixth bhumi. Completing the meditation of countless trillions that cannot be expressed, one attains the seventh bhumi. By supreme scattering, one attains the eighth bhumi. By immeasurability, one attains the ninth bhumi. By innumerability, one completes the meditation of the spontaneously accomplished mandala of inconceivable sameness, and attains the tenth bhumi. At the end of that, Vajradhara Samantabhadra Heruka and others empower with great rays of light, and in the instant of traversing the eleventh bhumi, one also masters the special grounds of the mantra path, and is called the great Vajradhara. Furthermore, if one proceeds in relation to the five paths and the four Vidyadharas, the view of the Omniscient Great One is that those who have gained stability in the generation stage, whose minds have matured into deities, but who have not been able to purify the impurities of the elements through the practice of proximate conduct, are called the Vidyadhara of maturation, who abides on the path of accumulation and junction. If he does not attain the supreme Dharma of the path of junction and the support of the body of maturation is destroyed, then without needing to take rebirth in the next existence, he attains the great seal in the bardo. Since the mind has matured into the illusory empty form of the deity's body, as soon as the body of maturation is abandoned, he will attain the path of seeing of a Bodhisattva. If that basis attains the supreme Dharma, it is called the accomplishment of the holy Vidyadhara who controls life, and that very body also transforms into a pure body like a vajra, and the mind also attains the path of seeing. If such a basis continues for sixteen years, or for that long, the spontaneously accomplished Vidyadhara will be manifested, and one will pass into sorrow from the Dharma of seeing, as it is said in the Stages of the Path: Seeing the meaning, entering the path to the end, the accomplishment of the accumulation of practice, the body, elements, birth, and outflows are exhausted, transformed into a vajra body, the lineage of life, in the Dharma of seeing, passing into sorrow, without abandoning the body, the ground of victory. So it is said. Some tantric treatises say one life, one body.

Similar to passing into nirvana through traversing the sky, or like believing that one attains Buddhahood in seven lifetimes, or at the latest in sixteen, here, the body of Tshewang (Life Empowerment), like the feet of the Second Buddha Padmasambhava, is without even the name of birth and death. Or, even if one has attained the accomplishment of gradual entry, one extends the lifespan of a hundred years sixteen times, continuing it to one thousand six hundred years, obtaining the lineage of ultimate spontaneous accomplishment in one lifetime. The Extensive Commentary says: "Life is sixteen years, extended and abiding in hundreds of hundreds. Without abandoning the body, one becomes a Buddha. The three leaks are absent in that one." And so on. Here, considering sixteen years as transference of consciousness contradicts the statement that one becomes a Buddha without abandoning the body, which indicates the final existence. Moreover, the Vajrasekhara Sutra says: "Sixteen births are the ultimate, one attains the peaceful Buddha." From the perspective of activity, the meaning is the same, only the difference between extending lifespan and experiencing rebirths. Regarding this, the Zur tradition believes that although one has seen the truth of Dharmata, one has not been able to purify the karmic body of maturation, and is thus a lineage of maturation; being able to purify it and transform into a pure body is Tshewang (Life Empowerment). As a basis for understanding, the Small Path says: "Whether ability is obtained or not, it becomes two paths of seeing." This is quoted. The views of these two are measured from the perspective of whether or not one relies on the sharpness or dullness of faculties and the practice of proximate causes. The former, as explained in the Lamrim (Stages of the Path), is that dull faculties do not rely on the practice of proximate causes, and because of the leakage of channels, winds, and bindus, subtle obscurations obscure the uninterrupted path of the first ground, thus causing obstacles to the path of seeing. Sharp faculties, as explained in the Small Path, have no obscurations to the path of seeing from the perspective of the body due to the power of the practice of proximate causes, which is in accordance with the common explanations of Sutra and Tantra, and therefore is not considered contradictory. For example, with the generation stage being stable, relying on the proximate cause of practice, one obtains the subtle body that is in accordance with the desired deity, obtaining the eight qualities, which is the desired lineage; dull faculties relying on the innate cause are the coarse human body, and sharp faculties...
