Fields of merit. From the very moment of appearance, there is no inherent existence. The profound path of the union of appearance and emptiness, method and wisdom. To that end, even those who practice the generation stage of unsurpassed tantra must first tame the egg-born and womb-born, and then gradually enter the path of learning. The preliminary to both is the samadhi of suchness. Its nature must be understood from the realization of the profound emptiness of reality. Therefore, it is crucial to first establish the view of the spontaneously accomplished nature of the ground. At the time of empowerment, through the power of the transference of blessings, or relying on the wisdom of the third example arising in the mindstream, then it is needless to say that it is obtained from the ritual. Otherwise, in the sutra path, relying on listening and contemplation, or if relying solely on the tantric path, then it must be understood from the explanation of the tantras and the instructions of the oral teachings. Regarding that, the pure ground of reality, as stated in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: Emptiness, selflessness, primordial wisdom, self-knowing mind. Without object and subject, transform memory and senses. (Tibetan: དམིགས་བྱ་དམིགས་བྱེད་མེད་པར་དྲན་དབང་བསྒྱུར།,Sanskrit Devanagari: अविषय ग्राहक अनस्मृति इन्द्रिय परिवर्तन,IAST: aviṣaya grāhaka anasmṛti indriya parivartana,Literal meaning: Without object, grasping, non-memory, senses, transformation). The wondrous three bodies, qualities, and pure lands. (Tibetan: ངོ་མཚར་སྐུ་གསུམ་ཡོན་ཏན་ཞིང་ཁམས།,Sanskrit Devanagari: आश्चर्य त्रिकाय गुण क्षेत्र,IAST: āścarya trikāya guṇa kṣetra,Literal meaning: Wondrous, three bodies, qualities, pure land). There is nothing else besides that, it is just as it is. IAST: anyatra nāsti tat eva tat tathā asti,Literal meaning: Other, there is not, that, just, that, thus, is). Thus, the primordial mind itself is the essence of the emptiness dharmakaya, therefore it can be understood like the sky. Clarity is the nature of the sambhogakaya, therefore it is self-luminous like the sun and moon. The manner of appearance is the embodiment of the nirmanakaya, therefore like a wish-fulfilling jewel, all desires are spontaneously accomplished, it is the essence of the Sugata, or rather, it is the blueprint of the three bodies of the Buddhas, which is naturally inherent from the beginning. From that state, the way sentient beings are deluded is: Emaho, Sugata-garbha. IAST: emāho sugata garbha,Literal meaning: Emaho, Sugata, womb). From: Each one's own conceptual thoughts, deluded by karma. Various bodies and enjoyments, places and sufferings, etc., are grasped as self and mine. Thus it is said. From the Ngamlog Tantra: Emaho, from the beginning, the pure dharma, the various appearances are also the secret of conceptual thought. The essence is inexpressible, difficult to teach to those who are not vessels. Thus, although there is no delusion in the way the essence abides, due to the sudden arising of self-grasping, one is led into the midst of hundreds of faults of samsara, and although one is completely fixated by wrong conceptualizations in each of the various realms and types, there is not even a particle of deterioration in one's own nature, as it is taught. Continuing from the previous: In the nature of the three existences, which is pure from the beginning, grasping as self is the peak of samsara.
