One should accumulate the forces that become favorable conditions and enter into great works. That is, if one does not rely solely on mindfulness and awareness, it will not be accomplished, like a revered vessel filled with little. Holding a sword, standing by, like threatening with Bon killings, the ascetic should strive in this way, as it is said. Regarding this, if one thinks that achieving Buddhahood requires unbearable hardships, especially if one has to give up one's head and limbs, then one cannot do such a thing. Then, for sentient beings who have not entered into practice and dwell as they please, due to the faults of karma, they experience unspeakable sufferings such as being beheaded, dismembered, pierced, bound and burned, which is obvious. In this way, neither one's own benefit is accomplished nor the benefit of others is accomplished. Then, in samsara, which is the same as samsara, the suffering of practicing hardships for the sake of enlightenment is in accordance with the strength of a person's intelligence and can be accepted, because the hardship is small and the need to accomplish the benefit of oneself and others is great. However, if one is afraid of giving up one's hands and feet, etc., because one has not weighed the heavy and the light, the foolish self is only afraid. In countless eons, being cut off many times, pierced, burned, and dismembered, one will not attain enlightenment. The suffering of achieving enlightenment that I practice, this is quantifiable, just like the suffering of creating wounds on the body to eliminate pain, internal friction, and harm. All doctors will also treat and cure diseases without discomfort. Therefore, in order to destroy many sufferings, one should endure small discomforts. So it is said. Therefore, if one thinks that the path to the other shore is a difficult place where one has to give up one's body and life, and fear arises, then one has not understood its deep meaning. Between the arising of the idea of difficulty, there is no restraint by force, but in accordance with one's own intellectual strength, gradually making it a habit. Ordinary medical treatment like this is not done by great doctors, but with extremely gentle rituals, they cure countless serious diseases. For giving vegetables and so on, the guide first guides. After getting used to this, then gradually one gives up one's own flesh. When one's own body
