The cause of not being complete is to cultivate, and the two benefits are naturally accomplished. These are also as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: The six branches are calmed and held by Samadhi. Abiding in the happy realms is the giver, the support, peaceful and without fear, possessing the accumulation of merit, obtaining designation and the nature of Dharma, these exist in those who abide in discipline. Having fully understood such discipline, the wise should practice it correctly. This is to say, among them, those who possess the six branches, as stated by the Hearers: abiding in discipline, restrained by the vows of individual liberation, complete in rituals, complete in conduct, regarding even the slightest fault as a place of fear, and learning by properly taking up the foundations of learning. And so on. The cause is the pacification of afflictions and the collection of fears, thereby attaining the state of peaceful Nirvana. The result is that abiding in the happy realms itself is giving. The function is to become the support for the accumulation of merit and all qualities. Classification, as stated in the Treasury: Discipline is called individual liberation, likewise, uncontaminated Samadhi arises. Thus, what arises from proper acceptance in designation is individual liberation. What is obtained from the nature of Dharma are the two that arise from Samadhi and uncontamination. Obtaining the mind of the actual practice of Samadhi, and the result of obtaining the uncontaminated noble ground such as the path of seeing. Such is the merit of discipline, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: The sons of the Buddhas constantly uphold the three trainings of discipline, which are the nature of the vows, the discipline of accumulating virtuous Dharmas, and the discipline of benefiting sentient beings. Even if they do not desire the higher realms, they do not develop attachment to them even if they truly attain them. By discipline itself, all beings can be placed in the three Bodhis. Because discipline is fully embraced by wisdom, it leaves inexhaustible merits in the world. Thus it is proclaimed. The wheel of discipline is the perfection of patience, on this unbearable ground, the fragrance of the true Dharma increases, well protected, enduring hardships and difficulties, without any fear. Not being afraid of the profound meaning, there are three aspects. Among them, the nature of patience is unbearable, that is, the Great Vehicle is similar to the earth, with the power of wisdom it can bear all mundane and ultimate Dharmas, and with patience it protects the true Dharma. Classification, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: Unbearable, fearless wisdom, and relying on the Dharma with compassion.

Therefore. The five benefits have been truly explained. Thus, in order to attain Buddhahood for oneself and to accomplish the benefit of others, no matter what kind of great burden of asceticism and suffering is encountered, one is willing to accept and endure it, which is the patience of accepting suffering. When others directly or indirectly attack oneself with evil, no matter what kind of life one encounters, one can completely prevent the habit of the mind from arising anger towards it, which is the patience of not caring about harm. The desire to firmly believe in the Dharma is not taken away, and fear does not arise for the profound meaning, which is the patience of no object. The cause of these is great compassion, and the fruits are five. The sutra says: Resentment will not increase. Quarrels will not increase. Happiness and peace of mind will increase. One will die without regret. After the body is destroyed, one will also be reborn in the happy realm of the heavens. So on and so forth. These are also to show the principle that beginners mainly practice patience to prevent anger. The mind is extremely stiffened by anger, and the manifestation of sin is a dark vine. Those who are afraid of falling into the hell of no liberation should never give anger a chance. Like a poisonous snake, if the mind stream is stiffened by anger, then the fruit of sin is that sentient beings experience great suffering in hell. Those who are afraid of the fruit of that karma should only learn to cut off the causes of anger, make the mind accustomed to perfection, and apply it to the asceticism of patience. As it is said in the "Inquiry of the Good Wisdom Girl Sutra": Do not increase the root of harm - anger. Abide in love, desire the Dharma. And as it is said in the "Entering the Way of the Bodhisattva": There is no sin like anger. There is no asceticism like patience. Therefore, one should diligently cultivate patience in various ways. Thus, if one observes and analyzes the object of harm, then the object that inflicts harm is also controlled by the demon of afflictions and is not autonomous. Chandrakirti said: Here, sentient beings are not the fault, but afflictions are the fault. If analyzed, wise people will not be angry with sentient beings.
