It is also because it does not contradict. If, due to a Dharma-related activity, it becomes necessary to cross the boundary before the night of the first to seventh day ends, then before that, one must eliminate the number of days and receive blessings from a bhikkhu who possesses nine qualities. One should not allow dawn to break outside without being blessed. It is said so. If dawn breaks, the fault of breaking the summer retreat will occur. Even if one returns during the daytime, if one unnecessarily crosses the boundary, one will commit the fault of entering the path, and if one exceeds the limit of a distant sound, one will incur a heavier fundamental fault. The blessing of the seventh day, generally speaking, should not exceed forty days, and there are others who believe that even the last six days of the summer retreat should not be blessed, but rather directly indicated. However, for matters such as reconciling a million sanghas, there is no fault as long as the task is diligently pursued but not completed. Third, the basis for ending the summer retreat is: When the Teacher was residing in Shravasti, in a certain place, the bhikkhus made a rule of silence and, relying on the summer retreat, allowed the sangha in summer retreat to end the retreat through the three means of seeing, hearing, and suspecting. The definition is: Among the three bases, it arises from relying on the summer retreat method that completely purifies the Dharma, and therefore it is offered with the mantra that distinguishes the occasion. Among them, for the ending of the summer retreat before the middle autumn month or the second minor month of the boundaries held before and after the summer retreat, if there is a grudge from half a month to about seven days, then request forgiveness and decorate the temple, etc. On the night of the fourteenth, thoroughly determine the Dharma. On the day of the fish (the fifteenth day of each Tibetan month), all the sangha gather, prostrate to each other, stand and bow with folded hands, and say: Please forgive all the things that have gone against the wishes of the sangha during the summer. Then, the abbot, acting as the officiant, performs the ritual like the sojong, from the three continuous recitations to the confession of the novice monk. Separate the novice monks. For the sangha who cannot gather and those who need to receive the ending of the summer retreat, receive it with a mantra of one-time offering, and use skillful means. The mantra spoken by the receiver to the sangha is known as: Venerable sangha, please pay attention.

Etc. The necessity of offering the Pravāraṇā is: Like offering a complete Sojong. Non-common transgressions, like during Sojong, are not included in the Sangha's assembly but are confessed separately. Then, after blessing the items corresponding to the transgression, if the officiant wants to ask the Bhikshu performing the Pravāraṇā if he is happy, then appoint him to perform the Pravāraṇā with a motion and two announcements. And perform all the agreeable aspects of the motion. Then, the main part is: After stating the request, the appointed Bhikshu distributes Durva grass to all the Sangha. Those present in the assembly take two blades of auspicious grass, cross and tie them, with one tip and one root facing themselves. One facing the place. Both press the roots on their respective sides with their feet, hold the tips with their hands, and face the appointed Bhikshu to perform the Pravāraṇā, arranging their intentions. While squatting, they say: "Venerable ones, please listen! Today is the Sangha's fifteenth Pravāraṇā. I am a Bhikshu, named so-and-so, and this is also the fifteenth Pravāraṇā. I, a Bhikshu, named so-and-so, with the three instances of what I have seen, heard, and suspected, perform Pravāraṇā to the Sangha residing in the summer retreat. May the venerable ones advise me, may the venerable ones instruct me, may the venerable ones accept me. Compassionate venerable ones, for the sake of compassion, please consider me with compassion. If I know and see a transgression, I will confess it according to the Dharma and the Vinaya." Repeat this three times. Use skillful means. If there are reasons to abstain, such as sickness, fatigue, etc., saying it once or twice is also acceptable. Then, the Pravāraṇā of the one performing the Pravāraṇā himself: If there is an appointed companion, it is done in front of him, and if not, it is done in front of any Bhikshu present in the assembly. Then, collect all the bundles of grass, count them, and say: "Venerable Sangha, please listen! Thus, the Bhikshus residing in this place during the summer retreat have performed this many Pravāraṇās." Make it known. Those present in the assembly respond by saying, "Well performed Pravāraṇā! Very well performed Pravāraṇā!" Then, for the Pravāraṇā of material goods, the appointed one
