Indeed. For a Bodhisattva who has renounced and is very happy with renunciation, they will completely hold those ten qualities. Therefore, beginners think that the Pratimoksha vows are those of the Hearers, and thus despise them, wanting to study other Bodhisattva trainings, but this is not grasping the key point of the trainings. In the Determination Collection of the Bodhisattva Grounds it says: Of these three types of ethics, this ethics of vows is what gathers and accumulates, for if it is restrained and protected, the others will also be gathered and protected; if it is not restrained and protected, the others will also not be gathered and protected. Therefore, if the Bodhisattva's ethics of vows is broken, it should be said that all vows are broken. Even from the difference in signs, the antidote to guarding the mind is greater, and merely becoming a basis, it is easier to become an object of offering for gods and humans, living without effort, difficult to be lowered by sinful friends, and without regret and distraction in the mind, thus possessing the main factor of Samadhi, and even if not liberated from the beginning, but due to possessing ethics, it is easy to accumulate wealth and faith offerings, thus not associating with faults. In the Sutra Requested by Kashyapa it says: Kashyapa, I give with faith to two Bhikshus, which two? The one who has and the one who is liberated. Generally, in the chapter on the ethics of the Bodhisattva it says: There are three types of ethics, namely, ethics of nature, ethics of habituation, and ethics of truly taken. In the first case, the individual with lineage has great compassion by nature, and naturally possesses the qualities of the Paramitas complete in their being, but the ethics of habituation exists in three levels, high, medium, and low, and for those who have truly taken the ethics, it is like adding vows on top of the former and proclaiming giving. Therefore, what is shown in the current rituals is aimed at the Bodhisattva by the latter two cases, therefore the Bengali Pandit said: For the practitioner on the path of accumulation, the ethics of vows is the main thing. For the practitioner on the path of application, virtue

The discipline of gathering is the main thing. For the path beyond the world, the discipline of benefiting sentient beings is the main thing. If considered in the continuum of an individual, one should strive to practice the training of the first type of person during the small stage of the accumulation path. During the intermediate stage of the accumulation path, one should strive to practice the training of the intermediate type of person. The third type of person should strive to practice the training of the third type of person. Thus it is said. Therefore, for the initial Bodhisattvas, considering that they naturally become distant from the faults of misconduct, the ordained Bodhisattva is particularly excellent, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The ordained state possesses immeasurable qualities. Therefore, it is said to be superior to the lay Bodhisattvas who diligently observe the vows." In accordance with this, a detailed explanation is given in the Dragsulcan's Questions, which will be explained below. However, the Bodhisattva vow alone does not establish the distinction of individual liberation. "The Bodhisattva's vows in their own ground, the characteristics of individual liberation are not clearly defined by rituals. Great mental strength with prior practice, like the chief support of thought, Indrabhuti." Regarding this, there is a sutra section called "The Sutra Teaching the Four Dharmas of the Bodhisattva's Individual Liberation" that has been translated into Tibetan. However, it does not explain the distinctions of vows regarding the transgressions of body and speech as explained in the Vinaya, nor does it separately explain the differences in rituals. Instead, it says: Shariputra, whatever Bodhisattva who has gone forth from the household life, whatever one who is diligently striving for the limbs of enlightenment, that one should abide restrained by the vows of individual liberation, and with rituals, and conduct, and perfect conduct, and should regard even the slightest fault with fear, and should take and practice the training with complete purification of the actions of body, speech, and mind, and with completely pure livelihood. Thus, although the Bodhisattva takes the individual liberation vow as a part of merit, his continuum is not that of an individual liberation practitioner who delights in peace, because the four truths are also directed to other aspects, and the differences of time and renunciation are also explained in the Upali's Questions. The Bodhisattva's individual liberation is until enlightenment.
