Ma is the discipline of vows. If one is not suitable as a basis for Pratimoksha vows but has a basis of vows that have been broken, then the discipline of abandoning vows, which abandons any faults that are common to Pratimoksha and one's own, is the discipline of vows. Second, gathering virtuous dharmas: practicing the six perfections and other virtuous trainings with four special qualities. As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Giving diminishes the opposite side, is endowed with non-conceptual wisdom, completely fulfills all desires, and ripens sentient beings into three aspects." In accordance with this, the remaining five, such as discipline, also have the same four qualities: being free from their respective opposites; being seized by the wisdom that does not conceptualize the three circles; the activity is to fulfill the wishes of others; and its result is to ripen the disciples into the three enlightenments. The opposite is as in the former: "Miserliness, immoral conduct, anger, laziness, distraction, and lack of wisdom are the six." Similarly, the activity is also, such as giving benefits to others, and discipline pacifies the mind, etc., in the way of accomplishing all kinds of benefits for others as in the former: "Giving alms pacifies the mind, enduring harm to others and striving to help, magical powers distinguish what to take and leave, and completely fulfill the desires of others." In general, the meaning of the word Paramita is also that since it goes beyond all the virtues of worldly beings and hearers, therefore, from the word "Pāra," it is derived as "Parol (other side)" and "Mita Phyinpa (reached)," that is, "Paroltu Phyinpa (reached the other side)." Even so, the Prajnaparamita is valid in the use of the word, but not valid in the explanation, because "Parol (other side)" is the Buddha, and "Phyinpa (reached)" is the wisdom that thoroughly distinguishes all dharmas, which is the wisdom that has reached the other side of existence and peace. Therefore, Dharmakirti says: "Wisdom Paramita is non-dual, that wisdom is the Tathagata, by the combination of the meaning of what is to be attained, it is designated by that name in the scriptures and the path." That's how it is. Each of the six perfections like that can also be divided into six groups such as giving. As it says in the Ornament of Realization: "Each of these, giving and so on, is gathered into six types, six qualities, whatever is the practice of armor, is explained as the six qualities of six as they are." Therefore, the six perfections

How to establish, the giving of generosity, etc., each's own generosity, the discipline of guarding against each's own opposing factors, and the patience of enduring such austerities, the diligence of joyfully practicing such, the meditation that does not stray to other things, the wisdom that is held by the view of not discriminating the three spheres, in total, it becomes thirty-six. Furthermore, observing those virtuous dharmas as being summarized into the three trainings, thereby determining the number of the six perfections, also comes from what was said earlier. "Taking the three trainings as the main focus, the Victorious Ones declared the six perfections, the first three, the last two are two kinds, one also belongs to all three." Thus, due to not being attached to the object of generosity, the discipline becomes completely pure, and from that, one becomes endowed with the four qualities of a renunciate, which is patience, so the first three are summarized into the higher training of discipline. Meditation is summarized into the higher training of concentration, and wisdom is summarized into the higher training of wisdom, so the last two are two kinds, and diligence belongs to all three, so it becomes a companion to all of these. These are also related like cause and effect, and abide in the differences of inferior and superior, and coarse and subtle. As it is said: "Relying on the former, the latter arises, because it abides in inferior and superior, and because of coarse and subtle, so these are taught in order." And, the meaning of the ultimate result is also combined with the Prajnaparamita. As the Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: "All these limbs, the Able One said are for the sake of wisdom." That is how it is. How to practice is: generosity without expecting returns or ripening, discipline without aiming for happy migrations, patience without resentment towards all sentient beings, diligence that gathers all virtuous dharmas, samadhi that excludes meditation and formless absorption, wisdom that is held by skillful means and great compassion. As the former said: "Generosity without expectation, and discipline without desiring rebirth, and patience towards all, and diligence that gathers all qualities, likewise, meditation is not formless absorption, with wisdom endowed with skillful means, those who rely on the six perfections, truly connect." And, the results of these
