Or dig it out of the grave and bury it underground? Even if buried in a wilderness temple, it will be eaten by crows, vultures, and foxes, and will those bones be burned by fire? Thrown into the water? Even if buried underground, it will be turned into powder by wind, sun, and rain, scattered in all directions, and rot there. Great King, the nature of all bodies is like this, like this impermanent, like this unstable, like this unreliable, like this of the nature of complete destruction, short-lived, not abiding, changing, shaking, ultimately destroyed, momentary, ultimately falling, is the gate of exhaustion and destruction, etc. It is the nature of complete destruction. Thus it is said. One should not be attached to the happiness of kingship, power, and the enjoyment of desires. Do not be proud of the fullness of life and health. As it is said, this body, which must ultimately be abandoned involuntarily, thinking when will I be able to give it to others? And one should repeatedly apply the mind to giving from thought, and if one does not practice in this way, one will not mature the intention, and one will not experience the time when one can truly give up life, as is also said in the Compendium of Trainings. Similarly, in the Jataka tales it is said: The body that is selfless, destructive, and without essence, is painful, ungrateful, and always impure. When benefiting others with the body is accomplished, one who is not happy is not wise. Thus it is said. In the Bodhisattvacharyavatara it is said: When giving up everything, giving to sentient beings is supreme. Thus it is said. Here, one must first get used to it. The hand of a person bound by stinginess, the thought of giving from one to the other, repeatedly moving with vegetables, etc., learn to turn attachment and destruction into strength. For those who initially have strong bonds of stinginess, just like a stingy householder in the past, holding a little insignificant object of charity in one of his hands, and then teaching him to put it in the other hand, eventually he was able to give great charity, so we ourselves should first get used to giving small things such as vegetables, and later the power of wisdom will gradually increase.

From (a certain source): Regarding the giving of vegetables and other items, the guide initially provides guidance. After becoming accustomed to it, one gradually gives away even one's own flesh and blood. When one develops the thought that one's own body is like vegetables and other things, then what difficulty is there in giving away flesh and blood? So it is said. There is nothing that does not become easier after one becomes accustomed to it. So it is said. Therefore, when a Bodhisattva is learning the stages of the path, having ascended to the peak of the perfection of giving, just as one welcomes beggars with one's eyes from afar and cultivates joy, one should regard the object of giving as a virtuous friend who perfects one's perfection of giving, thinking that this object and I will inevitably be separated, and this person will also abandon me, and I will also abandon this object. If I give now, I will not suffer from regret in the future, and without attachment, my mind will be joyful. One should learn the method of destroying greed and attachment through giving. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras: The practitioner makes offerings, the root relies on the mind, body and enjoyment are abundant, the two follow and maintain completion, that is also without stinginess, giving Dharma and fearlessness, thus fully knowing giving, the wise should practice correctly. So it is said. The giving of fearlessness is: The giving of fearlessness lies in protecting the lives of others, and in rescuing them from places of fear, giving them a chance to breathe. Among them, the nature of the giving of fearlessness is: To give those who are frightened and panicked by fear a chance to breathe. For example, being trapped in the king's prison, suffering the torment of punishment, encountering robbers, wild animals, suffering from hunger and thirst on dangerous roads, being chased by hunters, suffering from diseases and demons, and so on. In particular, in samsara, there is almost no one who does not protect their own life except for the beings in hell. Therefore, becoming their refuge and protector is the most supreme conduct of Bodhisattvas. When our teacher became the lord of men and sacrificer, because his territory followed wrong views, he considered performing large-scale life sacrifices for the sake of rain.
