Furthermore, the third bhumi cannot fully grasp the meaning of what is heard, while the third bhumi can grasp through hearing and possesses the extraordinary quality of fully complete limbs capable of manifesting samadhi. Moreover, all worldly samadhis are mostly the perfection of ascetic endurance for manifesting samadhi. Having attained these samadhis, the sound of "illuminating" is added because the appearance of wisdom transcending the world shines with immeasurable light. That is: The appearance of Dharma is vast, Therefore, it is called illuminating. The great of the small, the fourth bhumi, the radiant one, is: In the state of the third bhumi, even if all worldly samadhis are attained, one cannot repeatedly abide in the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment as they were attained, nor can one achieve equanimity of mind in entering into equality with the Dharma, whereas the fourth bhumi can, possessing the extraordinary quality of fully complete limbs. Furthermore, because one constantly and completely transcends pure and mental speech, one abides in the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, so the perfection of diligence is predominant. Because the light of the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment can burn all the firewood of afflictions without exception, the sound of "radiant" is added. That is: Thus, the dharmas in accordance with enlightenment, Are like a flame that burns intensely. Because that bhumi possesses them, It is radiant because it burns the two. The small of the middle, the fifth bhumi, the difficult to tame, is: The fourth bhumi, having meditated on the truths, does not turn towards samsara, and from turning towards nirvana, reverses the mind and cannot meditate on the aspects of enlightenment grasped by skillful means, whereas the fifth bhumi can, possessing the extraordinary quality of fully complete limbs. Furthermore, because one repeatedly meditates on the aspects of the truths, the perfection of meditation is predominant. To repeatedly abide in and meditate on the aspects of enlightenment grasped by skillful means, making them complete, is very difficult to tame, so the sound called "difficult to tame" is added. That is: To fully ripen all sentient beings, And also to protect one's own mind, Even the wise find it difficult to tame, Therefore, it is said to be difficult to tame. The middle of the middle, the sixth bhumi, manifest

The reason for becoming "Abhimukhi (Manifest)" is: The fifth bhumi practitioner, due to their individual discernment and aversion to entering samsara, is unable to abide in the state of non-appearance in the mind stream. The sixth bhumi practitioner, however, possesses the distinguishing feature of having fully perfected the limb of being able to abide. Moreover, because the bodhisattva abides in this bhumi by meditating on dependent origination, the Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom) is particularly superior. And because of attaining the abiding in non-appearance, it is called the manifestation of all dharmas of samsara and nirvana. "Relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, because these two are manifested here, it is called the bhumi of manifestation." Thus it is said. The medium of the excellent is the seventh bhumi, "Duramgama (Far-Going)". Although the sixth bhumi practitioner attains abiding in non-appearance, they are unable to abide in non-appearance without interruption. The seventh bhumi practitioner, however, possesses the distinguishing feature of having fully perfected the limb of being able to abide in non-appearance without interruption. Moreover, because all appearances are understood as non-appearance, and the expression made of appearance is not prohibited, the Upayaparamita (Perfection of Skillful Means) is particularly superior. It is connected with the spontaneously accomplished single path, and because it is extremely far from samsara, it is called the Far-Going bhumi. "Because it is connected with the single path, it is considered the Far-Going bhumi." Thus it is said. In the Dharmadhatu Stotra, it says: "Having crossed the mud of the ocean of samsara, therefore it is called the Far-Going." Thus it is said. The small of the excellent is the eighth bhumi, "Achala (Immovable)", which is the first of the three virtuous bhumis. From here, the five sense consciousnesses transform, and therefore one obtains mastery over the pure realms. The Ornament of Realization says: "Because of the transformation of mind, grasping, and discrimination, there is non-discrimination, and the pure land is purified by wisdom, the place of the four masteries." Therefore, in the state of the seventh bhumi, because one is unable to abide in non-appearance with spontaneous accomplishment, the eighth bhumi practitioner possesses the distinguishing feature of having fully perfected the limb of being able to abide. Moreover, because one applies the spontaneously accomplished to the virtuous aspect of abiding in non-appearance, the Pranidhanaparamita (Perfection of Aspiration) is particularly superior. And because the non-discriminating wisdom transcends the dharma of appearance, and is not moved by effort, it is called the Immovable bhumi.
