Like the moon appearing in a pond, or a painter's chariot, these are considered to be inverted conventional truths. As stated in the "Two Truths": "Appearances are similar, but their functions differ. Due to the presence and absence of function, the conventional truth is divided into correct and incorrect." Although these two appear to be two when spoken of, they do not appear to be different when measured from their nature, because they are the same in arising from habits and illusions, and they are the same in appearing before the respective sense faculties. For the time being, the function that appears only in illusion, if it exists in the object of sight consciousness, then existence is the same, and non-existence is also the same, because they are the same, so it is not self-established. In particular, if one looks at the basis of differentiation, the Dharmadhatu, then at the time of attaining the wisdom of the noble ones, all thoughts and appearances with clinging to truth in the mind are inverted conventional truths, and all appearances and ways of appearing without clinging to truth are correct conventional truths. The root of illusion and the thoughts of illusion are liberated in the Dharmadhatu, thereby realizing the nature of non-self-existence. As stated in the "Jewel Heap Sutra": "Like the center of a clear mirror, the moon of the face appears. Jewel Heap, thus should you know that all phenomena are without self-existence." The ultimate truth is the way of abiding in nature, the phenomena of samsara and nirvana, the essence is non-dual, transcending thought and expression, and cannot be established by conceptual and non-conceptual wisdom. Among them, the ultimate truth is the way of abiding in nature, self-nature is peaceful, without elaboration, transcending one and many, and all phenomena of samsara are primordially without self-existence, therefore it cannot be established by the wisdom of ordinary beings who can and cannot realize it. As stated in the "Root Wisdom": "Not known from others, it is peaceful, without elaboration and without what is elaborated, without discrimination and without different meanings, that is called its nature." If it cannot be established by wisdom, then dividing it into two truths is also unreasonable, and it would be considered a causeless result. If there is doubt about this, then as stated in Acharya Aryadeva's "Stages of Meditation": "These phenomena without essence all arise from discrimination; if discrimination arises, that too is empty; thus emptiness is liberation. If the great ocean were to dry up, then no waves could arise; likewise, various consciousnesses do not arise in what is without essence." Therefore, the objects to be measured are all measuring

Although the initial entity arises from conceptualization, the term "liberation" is established when one realizes the emptiness of the nature of what is conceptualized. If there is no source of waves, the name "wave" will not be established either. As it is said in the earlier text: "When one sees that very true meaning, at that time, the yogi is in meditative equipoise. There is no non-conceptual speech. Seeing oneself, there is no doubt. Like the nature of space, in that, there is no slight consciousness. Likewise, this Dharma, the consciousness, has no slight knowledge. The appearance of arising and abiding, only appears to foolish children. If one looks with wisdom and intelligence, there is no arising and abiding." And so on, it is extensively taught. Therefore, to make commitments about the nature, and the object of commitment, the taker and the definition of the act of taking, these are merely conjectured by the mind of the consciousness-only school and fabricated as without arising and ceasing. In this way, one cannot be liberated from the precipice of permanence and annihilation. Therefore, liberation in the nature, separate from the imputed conventional ultimate truth and all the extremes of elaboration such as arising and ceasing, is the non-conventional ultimate truth. In the Two Truths, it says: "The cessation of arising and so on is, established as the nature of Suchness. In the unborn, the pacification of all elaborations, is the indication of the ultimate truth." Thus, for the benefit of sentient beings, the two truths are taught with skillful means, but from the perspective of things, there is no difference, like the horns of a buffalo. The union of appearance and emptiness, the union of the two truths, is like the manifestation of the moon entering a pond. From the perspective of appearance, it is the conventional truth, and the ultimate truth is that which is not established by its own nature. The establishment of the conventional is like the manifestation of the moon entering the pond. From the perspective of appearance when seeing it, it is established in the conventional, but from the perspective that the moon is not true, it is equal in the ultimate. These two, like the image of the moon and the pond not being mixed, experiencing the union of the two truths, which is of one essence in appearance, in the state of non-existence of self-nature, is called the realization of the two truths. That is to say, from the perspective of one's own mind, the part that transcends the world is the ultimate truth, and the part that abides in the world is the reason for the conventional truth.
