For example, like "The suspicion of killing the brave flower moon beauty is taken out from under the secret of the tongue." Or, as it says in the Compendium, "Father and mother are to be hidden, the king and the two who hold vows, and when the land with its retinue is destroyed, that person becomes pure." Like this, the root of action in samsara is craving, because it is attached to the happiness of samsara, so it is the father. Taking is the desire for craving itself, so it is the mother. The alaya consciousness is the basis or container for various imprints, so it is the king. Similarly, the Brahmin considers the view of the destructible collection to be supreme, and the ascetic considers the vows and asceticism to be supreme, these two are the holders of vows. The internal birthplaces, the eight consciousness aggregates gathered by the grasped and the grasper, are the land together with the retinue. If these are transformed by names, and when they are pure without possessing them in their own continuum, it is a great mistake to mistake enlightenment for actual manifestation. Like this, these four are in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Entering the hidden meaning, the nature of the hidden meaning, the antidote of the hidden meaning, the transformation of the hidden meaning. The Hearer and the self-nature, as well as taming faults and speaking profoundly, for these there are four kinds of hidden meaning." In short, the difference between meaning and hiddenness is: Meaning is only distinguishing in the mind, and does not depend on other objects. Hidden meaning depends on other objects, is the eye of discernment, is the eye for observing the scriptures. Regarding the difference between meaning and hiddenness, the Explanation Combination says: "Meaning is only distinguishing in the mind, and does not acknowledge dependence on other objects. Hidden meaning depends on other objects." It is said like this. Regarding this place of meaning and hiddenness, the previous Khenpos had slightly different views. Teacher Arya Deva said: "The Buddhas, for the sake of the disciples, taught the Dharma according to their inclinations. For some, they taught the Dharma of completely turning away from sin. For some, they taught the Dharma of the two causes and effects, if aiming with water. For some, they taught the Dharma of distinguishing the two truths. For those with profound deception, they taught the essence of emptiness and compassion. They taught the Dharma according to their inclinations." Like this, the disciples'

For those great minds who have a thorough understanding of the principles arising from the combination with the vessel (referring to the world), contradictions and conflicts do not exist, because they are proficient in sound, meaning, intention, and purpose, so they are able to distinguish well the principles of the scriptures, which is the second key to viewing the sutras and tantras. Now, in order to show the classification of the object to be measured, the holy Dharma, from the perspective of the object to be measured, all the eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma spoken by the Victorious One (Buddha) are ultimately about the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth. Considering that the realms of sentient beings have three inherent afflictions that need to be tamed, there is the tamer, the holy Dharma, namely the Vinaya (discipline), the Sutras, and the Abhidharma, which are the three baskets, or the three trainings of manifestation and realization. From the perspective of definite number and vastness, all the eighty-four thousand gates of Dharma that are spoken rely on the conventional truth of appearance and the ultimate truth of existence, there is nothing that does not rely on them, so the third is negated. As it is said in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son: 'These two truths of worldly wise men, you did not hear from others, but saw for yourself. That is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth, there is no third truth.' The conventional truth has two ways of appearing. The appearance of illusion, how many appearances there are, those that function in accordance with the degree of appearance, are the correct conventional truth, although they appear but do not function, are called the wrong conventional truth. For sentient beings, the various differences that arise in the nature of the eight aggregates of consciousness, the illusory appearances, illusory attachments, and illusory cognitions produced by the conditioned conventional truth, appear in the form of deception and falsehood, untruth and change, confusion and suffering, and from the perspective of reason and concept, they are established on the basis of extreme contradiction with the facts. Even so, from the two aspects of appearance and cognition at that time, it can temporarily be established as true and false, therefore it is called the correct conventional truth and the wrong conventional truth. Like this, those that are able to function in accordance with the degree of appearance, arising from causes, the establishment of common appearance, the four elements externally, and internally contained by one's own consciousness, are the correct conventional truth; although they appear but cannot function.
