Those beings who possess the perfect enjoyment of Kausika and are adorned in front by the seven precious things of the Chakravartin king, and who travel to the four continents with the fourfold army outside the precious wheel that was not made by a craftsman, for a while enjoy the happiness sought by the fruit of white maturation. However, just by enjoying it, all the previous virtuous results are exhausted like the melted butter consumed by the flame of a lamp, and eventually they fall into a very difficult situation. As it is said in the Letter to a Friend: "Even if one becomes the worthy Indra, one will fall back to the ground due to the power of karma. Even if one becomes a Chakravartin king, one will become a slave in samsara." Similarly, in order to reveal the faults of the lord of the gods being attached to land and power, even the powerful one whose feet make the lotus red with the light of the crowns of the heads of gods, nagas, humans, and non-humans, will eventually obtain a place to walk on the burning iron pillar in hell. As it is said in the Letter of Exhortation: "Even if one stays for a long time in the middle of Mount Meru, where one's feet feel soft when placed and happy when lifted, one will again wander around with one's thighs, legs, and feet completely destroyed by the burning sand and embers." And: "Even Indra, whose lotus feet are reddened by the light of the headdresses of gods, nagas, humans, and non-humans, will go to bad migrations when the winds of karma stir. Who would not be afraid of that?" Furthermore, revealing the faults of desire and the faults of attachment to trees and palaces: The touch of the fresh breasts of heavenly maidens...

Relying on the wish-fulfilling tree in the joyous garden, adorned with immeasurable palaces, with pearl nets half-veiled. Having abandoned them, one falls headlong into a pit of fire. Like a slowly flowing lake, those who crave heavenly maidens, skilled in sixty-four arts, experience the pleasure of touching breasts. In the joyous garden, the wish-fulfilling tree provides food, drink, clothing, ornaments, and various kinds of four types of musical instruments. The exquisitely decorated immeasurable palace, covered with pearl nets, half-veiled, with the sound of bells ringing sweetly. Quickly abandoning these pleasures, that is, the pride of perfection, one involuntarily falls into a pit of fire, and a forest like swords, endless rivers, and the darkness of helplessness. As before: The heavenly maiden with the slowly flowing stream. Playing together with those who quickly abandon pleasures. However, again being struck by endless, fierce rivers. One must endure the unbearable pain of being wounded. In the heavenly garden, the leaves of the wish-fulfilling tree are spread out everywhere. Even dwelling in comfort with the heavenly maiden. However, again being struck by many sharp weapons on the body. One must traverse the forest where the leaves are like swords. Stepping on soft and elastic ground, feeling pleasure. Even dwelling for a long time in the middle of Mount Meru. However, again being surrounded by burning sand and flames. The thighs and limbs are all burned, wandering everywhere. The bells make sweet sounds, and the strings of pearls shine brightly. Even entering the immeasurable palace, traveling through the heavenly realm. One will eventually fall into the immeasurable, helpless darkness. Falling into the boundless abyss. Thus it is said. Now, in general, speaking of the faults of clinging to life, and the suffering of death and falling between other Paranirmita-vasavartin heavens. The flowers on the heavenly maiden's clothes and cushions begin to wither. Dust covers the face, and the appearance of washing disappears. Looking at close relatives, making sobbing sounds. The suffering of death is unmatched in the world. Thus, the gods do not have the nerves to feel pain, so there is no physical pain. However, seeing the five omens of death, the mind is extremely painful. As it is said: Then, the light of the gods disappears, making a sad cry.
