Like using animals as metaphors, treatises that contradict the Dharma, and so on. In short, expressing with contemptuous words, in an arbitrary or divinely inspired manner, becoming a place where attachment and hatred arise, all of these are. Similar is: speaking of war and theft, etc., statements unrelated to the time. Harsh speech is completed by three branches: the basis is specifically targeting that person, the action is speaking harsh words, and the ultimate is making the person unhappy. Similar is: even if sweet words are spoken, in reality, it is related to an unpleasant situation. The three of mind are, first, covetousness: coveting the wealth and glory of others and claiming it as one's own. Similar is greedily desiring and savoring the possessions of others. Harmful intent is harboring resentment towards others, inciting harm. Similar is contemplating how to separate beneficial connections. Wrong view is believing that there is no cause and effect, or believing that things are permanent or nihilistic. Similar is fabricating something from nothing and denying something that exists. These three forms of mind each have a real and a similar aspect. Covetousness is completed by two branches: the basis is that the object that gives rise to covetousness belongs to another, and covetousness is generated towards it. If we examine the mind with five elements, if the basis does not belong to another, there is no cause for covetousness. If attachment is not generated, there is no condition for covetousness. If the particularity of the object is seen, and it is not claimed as one's own in the mind as if savoring it, it will not become true clinging. If there is no effort in the mind, then it is not covetousness. Therefore, these four elements are naturally complete at the moment covetousness arises. Furthermore, if one desires to obtain the happiness and fruit of higher realms in future lives and makes prayers, it is also considered the ultimate of covetousness. If someone prays that someone with eyes may obtain eyes, that also becomes covetousness, so whose eyes are being targeted? Through this reasoning, it should be known that this harms the karmic results corresponding to merit. In the Treasury of Knowledge (Abhidharmakosha) it also says: "Covetousness clings to the wealth of others due to wrong thoughts. Harmful intent is hating sentient beings. Believing that there is no good or non-good. This is wrong view." Therefore, (the scriptures) only consider coveting wealth of the same kind as oneself in this life and claiming it as one's own in the mind. If one attains the status of Brahma and Ishvara (Shiva), then their dominion and

Who else would follow the greed of someone who doesn't control those enjoyments? Furthermore, in the commentary on the Distinguishing the Moving Beings, it says: Being greedy by being angry at listening, etc., and being angry by not liking benefit, and slandering the true virtuous friend, the Dharma, and others, these are similar to it. That is to say, regarding the possessions of others, thinking, 'How wonderful if it were mine,' and then possessing it with a miserly mind, this is greed. Regarding the possessions and listening, etc., of others, being unable to bear it, thinking, 'How wonderful if it were under my control,' this is similar to it. Harmful intent is perfected by two branches: the basis is a sentient being, and constantly tormenting them. Explaining the distinctions in detail: being angry or wrathful towards other sentient beings, there are nine objects of constant torment: thinking, 'He has harmed me, is harming me, will harm me'; and thinking, 'He has harmed, is harming, will harm my friend,' that is, those who are my friends, pleasing, and wish them well; and thinking, 'He has benefited, is benefiting, will benefit my enemy,' that is, those who are not friendly to me, displeasing, wish to harm me, and do not wish me well. From the perspective of being connected to past grudges, through distinguishing the three states of past, present, and future, from the difference of welcoming beforehand and inferring afterwards, the mind of hatred that extremely dislikes the harmer, the mind of anger that repeatedly remembers grudges, the mind of pride that is extremely unbearable, the mind of resentment that thinks, 'How wonderful if I could kill or beat them,' the mind of delusion that is overwhelmed by shame and faults, these five dharmas are interconnected. Similar to harmful intent are: not liking benefit and gathering evil, and meditating on separation from goodness. Wrong view is perfected by two branches: the basis is not inverted, that is, the principle that the Dharma of cause and effect is certainly not deceptive; and the thought is inverted, that is, the wrong view that firmly believes that the results of virtue and non-virtue do not exist, and the wrong view of clinging to permanence and annihilation. Similar to wrong view are: being angry at the Dharma and special individuals, and sometimes towards those who have not matured into the visible Dharma of the results of good and evil, and who have accumulated powerful karma,
