Possessing. Abandoning reprehensible false speech like unclean things, abiding in truthful speech. Afterwards, if one learns, then discipline, listening, generosity, and wisdom will increase, and one will be able to return from non-places. Such a person is called a noble being. Good wishes mean accomplishing perfectly by doing as one has said oneself. Desiring the protection of merit means accumulating resources from previous lives to the present. As the Dragon King said: "Dwelling in a harmonious land, Relying on a superior noble being, Oneself with good wishes, accumulating merit in the past, You possess the four great wheels." Thus, the last line indicates that King Delightful Conduct is also a vessel for the noble path. Now, in order to distinguish its nature in detail. In the midst of the assembly, like poisonous food, The transformations of circumstances are extremely fierce, Avoiding them, one delights in solitude, Not attached to gain, like wind and birds. Thus, like Rajagriha, cities, towns, villages, etc., or even solitary places where inferior goods are used, in the center of a gathering of many people, there are enemies and friends, attachment and aversion, partiality, strife, commerce, agriculture, noise, gain and respect, distraction, jealousy, competition, arrogance, accumulation, protection, and development, etc. Due to the changes arising from encountering the circumstances used in the vicinity, one is deceived by the three: attachment, aversion, and neutrality, possessing the cause of afflictions. As Vasubandhu said: "Not abandoning subtle increase, When the environment also becomes near, From inappropriate attention arises, The cause of afflictions is complete." Like the monk Good Giving, whose mind of guarding discipline was very firm, facing his wife sleeping in front of him, he strongly prevented her, saying, "I am guarding discipline, do not stay here!" But his wife did not listen. Even a firm vow is conditioned, and the poison of the environment is very powerful. As a result, attachment arose, and he ended up having relations with his wife. Therefore, after entering the Buddhist path, having the thought of renunciation and guarding vows

Even with stable merits, when encountering various external circumstances, the causes for the arising of discipline, samadhi, and wisdom, as well as all merits, will decline. Like this, taking a place as a permanent residence, clinging to land and territory; being overly attached to a dwelling, leading to abandoning the small home and pursuing the castle business of a large family; seeing wealth as the essence, even competing with wealthy patrons for horse fodder, wasting faith offerings and offerings for the deceased for the sake of gain—this is not good. The sutra says: Maitreya, great Bodhisattvas should know that gain and respect are the cause of generating desire. Gain and respect are bad; one should examine whether they will destroy merit. Gain and respect will completely abandon samadhi and immeasurable minds, and will cause beings to fall into hell, the animal realm, and the world of Yama. It also says: One should reduce desires and not be overly greedy. As it is said, not clinging to gain, like the wind in the sky; not clinging to dwelling and livelihood, like a bird flying in the sky, thereby practicing the path of peace. Reduce gatherings and greatly cherish tranquility; like the wind in the sky, do not cling to gain; like a wild animal, fearlessly roam alone. Such a person is a true Dharma holder. It is also said: Living in solitude like a wild animal will not be disturbed by trivial matters; if one relies on a certain place, one will have to consider the faces of others and will reduce the courage to endure jealousy. Therefore, a solitary place or a forest is best, because its nature is very gentle, peaceful, and cannot be disturbed by hundreds of faults of noise and reckless behavior. If one lives in one place, one will either suffer from relying on the taxes and labor of this place, or one will have to consider the faces of others in order to protect oneself and pursue perfection. Even if one becomes famous for practicing the Dharma, or becomes wealthy due to circumstances that are in accordance with one's nature, the discriminating thoughts of sentient beings in the degenerate age are extremely untamed, so they will repeatedly with various actions
