Among the realms, who have not entered this Dharma, or even if they have, practice good and bad mixed together, indulging in noise and distraction? Those with karma who are undisciplined and frivolous in body, speech, and mind, falling into the three lower realms and indulging in evil destinies, are also illuminated by the sunlight of the Buddha's compassion, and possess the seeds of liberation after a long time, therefore they are called precious human bodies. As it is said in the Letter to a Friend: "Whoever constantly revolves in the wheel of samsara, entering into it and thinking it is happiness just to dwell in it, that one will surely gradually and involuntarily wander in hundreds of thousands, in all equal and unequal realms." The "equal" refers to gods and humans, and the "unequal" refers to evil destinies, it should be known as such. Secondly, in general, wandering in the six realms, especially the unfavorable aspects of the leisure and endowment of human life, and the afflictions, suffering, and conceptual thoughts create discord, not giving opportunities for virtuous deeds, showing that there is no opportunity to practice Dharma when wandering in the eight unfree states, namely: "The foolish will fall again from here, to the three lower realms and the formless realm, borderlands, defective faculties, wrong views, and places where no Buddha appears." It is said. From the perspective of nomenclature, it is divided into eight unfree states of self-continuum dependence, eight unfree states of sudden causes and conditions, and eight unfree states of severed minds. First, what is actually taught is, in the Letter to a Friend: "Holding wrong views and animals, ghosts and hell beings, without the Buddha's teachings and borderlands, born as barbarians and dumb, any long-lived god's body, being born is called the eight unfree states." Among the eight bases of self-continuum, first, hell is: "There is no time to seek a moment of leisure, on the iron-burning ground, the punishment of weapons, brutally and repeatedly taking their lives, hell beings cannot die, still bound by the evil karma of anger." As it is said, those who become hell beings, on the iron-burning ground, are tormented by the punishment of weapons and other severe sufferings, without even a chance to rest or relax slightly, and are still bound by the net of anger.

If the lifespan of hell is immeasurable, there is no leisure to serve as a basis for Dharma practice. Similarly, hungry ghosts are tormented by poverty, suffering from the burning pain of their internal organs; animals devour each other, hunters set traps, fences, and nets to bind them; those skilled in weapons take lives, piercing noses, harming with hooks, binding with ropes, etc., unable to endure the suffering of taming, there is no leisure. Even pus and blood cannot be cleaned. What need is there to say more about the suffering of hungry ghosts due to poverty? Upon seeing rivers and trees, they immediately crave them. The pain of burning internal organs cannot be stopped. Due to the power of obscurations, the lifespan is uncertain. Animals devour each other. Hunters set cruel traps to take lives, And are tormented by being tamed for the sake of being used. What use is it to be born in such a place? This is a summary of the meaning. Furthermore, Extending the duration of life for a very long time, Not giving an opportunity for sorrow, the formless realm, The basis for hearing and thinking is interrupted, the unconscious gods, At the time of death, they develop wrong views, therefore there is no leisure. Therefore, although the unconscious and formless gods live long lives, they have no leisure because the basis for hearing and thinking is interrupted. Even if one relies heavily on two-legged animals, Their consciousness is not virtuous. The barbarians who are bound and controlled, Wander in a forest of extreme confusion. It is said that some, although they appear in the form of humans, are like the people of water and forests, their nature is like animals. In terms of doing evil, they are more skilled than animals, and they are controlled consciousnesses. Barbarians, in terms of Dharma, serve as a basis for non-virtue, therefore their consciousness has no leisure. The mutes who have broken their vows, Even if they meet a guide of the noble ones, It is like a crow being caught by a stone. They grieve in a vast pasture where communication is impossible. It is taught that, like this, those who cannot communicate language due to being verbally mute, or those who cannot communicate meaning due to being mentally mute, even if they meet a guide of the noble ones or brothers and friends, it is like mixing stones and words together, there is no meaning, therefore there is no leisure.
