is also the root of all suffering. And its basis is the inner three realms, as stated in the 'General Sutra': The coarse body is the desire realm, the subtle speech is the form realm, and the extremely subtle mind is the formless realm. In these three cities dwells the sacred child of awareness. This also shows the difference between the dependent mind and the self-born wisdom that relies on it. These three are called the city of appearance, semi-appearance, and non-appearance, according to the distinction of coarse and subtle. Thus, the three are tormented by the three sufferings, and the small non-virtuous deeds and ignorance arising from the three lead to animals, the medium non-virtuous deeds and desire lead to hungry ghosts, the great non-virtuous deeds and hatred lead to hells, the virtuous deeds and meritorious shares and the corresponding pride lead to gods and humans, and the virtuous deeds corresponding to jealousy lead to demigods, thus forming high and low situations. Even in such formation, there is a difference between the pulling and completion of the two deeds of good and evil: what pulls is the virtuous deed, and what completes is the virtuous deed; what pulls is the virtuous deed, but what completes is the non-virtuous deed; what pulls is the non-virtuous deed, and what completes is the non-virtuous deed; what pulls is the non-virtuous deed, but what completes is the virtuous deed, there are four situations. The first is that gods and humans have all the perfections of lineage, appearance, wealth, etc. The second is that although they are born in happy realms, they suffer from incomplete faculties and limbs, and weak power. The third is that they are born in any of the evil realms and are completely tormented by suffering. The fourth is that some animals or hungry ghosts have perfect appearance and wealth. Among them, there is one karma that can only pull one body, and there is one karma that can pull many bodies, and there are many karmas that pull one body, and there are many karmas that pull many bodies, which depends on the strength and ability of the pulling cause. Among them, the first situation is like a married woman who has compassion for her child; the second situation is like the noble Ma-a-ga-ga, because I matured with the only merit, I was born seven times as the god of the Thirty-Three, and now I am still a rich man of the Shakya clan.

Like "birth" and so on. The third is that Devadatta, due to the karma accumulated over many lifetimes, caused the body of a monk to become a sinful practitioner. The fourth is that, like the venerable Nearsde, many bodies are formed by being nourished by many causes, which is only accepted by the Sutra School and above. Like this, there are those who have done karma but not accumulated it, those who have accumulated it but not done it, those who have done and accumulated it, and those who have neither done nor accumulated it, divided into four categories. The first, taking war as an example, even if there is no intention to seize the wealth of the other party and weaken the enemy, but because others invade one's own territory to protect life, or fear that governing the country in a righteous way will be hindered, so reluctantly, regretfully, involuntarily, the act of doing karma but not accumulating it, although its essence is a very powerful sinful karma, and it has various similar causes, so one karma can give rise to multiple bodies. The second is, like lying, although it has been accepted in the heart for a long time, it has not actually been spoken. The third is that both harmful thoughts arise, and one is only satisfied with causing harm. The fourth is that, since the motivation is abandonment, it cannot produce a mature result, so it is an indeterminate karma. In this regard, the Treasury of Knowledge says: "One birth pulls one, the complete maker is not many." It means that one puller only pulls one life, not many. Although there are many complete makers, multiple pullers will not only pull one life. But here, it is measured by reason through the lightness and heaviness of the five ways, such as signs and attachments. Through these, after understanding the good and non-good karma, and the principle that the result of karma is dependent and arising, now, in order to determine the true path of karma, first explain the method of relying on the incomparable refuge: Just as fire burns and incinerates, if there is no antidote other than water, then the great sin of deceiving and abandoning the Three Jewels cannot find a remedy. Like this, the result of karma is like an ocean without end, and the one that is as huge as a makara fish is relying on the Three Jewels.
