It was widely proclaimed. Therefore, abiding within the profound Madhyamaka, which is devoid of self-nature and essence, is the supreme meditation, and one goes to nirvana in a state free from effort. Among the immeasurable doors, the path of Madhyamaka is the path to nirvana. Nirvana is nowhere to go. Since there is no going in it, all dharmas are equal in nirvana. This boundless path of Madhyamaka is neither practice nor non-practice, so all objects of grasping are equal in nirvana. Thus it was proclaimed that in this place, only the Tathagata is the measure, and no doubt should be entertained. Some people think that as long as it is discriminating wisdom, it must be bound by sharp analysis, so they abandon the attention that contemplates self-nature and think that there is no light of wisdom. They say this quote of truthful words: If one cannot know the truth as it is from correct discrimination, then like fire produced by rubbing wood, the wood of thought is burned. Although this passage is quoted, its meaning is: not relying on the causes of intelligence and attention, just as the seed of fire arises from flint, but using the fire produced from the rubbing wood itself to burn the firewood itself as a metaphor, it illustrates that the light of true wisdom, which does not rely on intelligence and thought, like the fire of non-discriminating wisdom, burns the firewood of intellectual thought, thereby knowing the self-nature as it is. As the glorious Dipamkara explained in the instructions on Madhyamaka: not grasping anything is because it is free from the discrimination of grasper and grasped. Abandoning all memory and attention is abandoning the discrimination that focuses on the past and the future. Thus, it has already been explained before how to grasp the discriminating wisdom that includes attention as real and then prevent it. Furthermore, from the point of view of the compassion's engagement and the uninterrupted activity, it is not that there is no self-arisen wisdom, but from the point of view of being free from the elaboration of the imputed tenets of knowable and knower, they are the two great chariots.
