The way to gradually get used to it according to one's own mental strength. Such ordinary medical treatment is not done by a great doctor, but with extremely gentle rituals, it cures countless great diseases. For giving vegetables and so on, the guide first makes offerings, and after getting used to this, gradually one also gives meat. When one uses wisdom on one's own body as if it were vegetables, then giving meat and so on, what difficulty is there in that? This is to say that when habit reaches its extreme, because the realization that samsara is without inherent existence like an illusion is firm, it prevents attachment to one's own body, and because the power of emptiness and great compassion increases, it abandons evil. Because the cause is reversed, the result will not produce thorn-like suffering. Because evil is abandoned, there is no suffering. Because one is wise, there is no displeasure. Understanding in this way in reverse, evil harms the mind and body, merit nourishes the body, and wisdom nourishes the mind. For the sake of others, even if one dwells in samsara, how can those with compassion be weary? This is what it says. In short, all the Buddhas who have come, are dwelling, and have passed away in the three times, there is not one who has not relied on diligence as a companion on the path to manifest enlightenment. In particular, our teacher, Maitreya Bodhisattva and others who generated the mind of enlightenment earlier than him, their previous attainment of Buddhahood also arose from the difference in diligence. Having recognized this, one should uplift one's mind. The Sutra of the Cloud of Jewels says: Bodhisattvas, like this, the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, those who have manifested enlightenment, those who are manifesting enlightenment, and those who will manifest enlightenment, also with this kind of method, this kind of path, this kind of diligence, manifest perfect enlightenment, manifest perfect enlightenment, will manifest perfect enlightenment. And those Tathagatas also become Tathagatas completely before manifesting perfect enlightenment, not manifesting perfect enlightenment from the beginning. I also, in any case, will manifest enlightenment in the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, the common diligence with all sentient beings and...

As it is said, "With diligence focused on all sentient beings, I also sought and strived in that way." Especially, contemplating the lack of leisure in life is the antidote to be kept in mind, and it is the reason why it should be a branch of diligence. My life is turning towards the end of the day, and quickly, the darkness of death approaches. The actions of samsara are more numerous than the stars, but they do not give a chance to breathe. Thus, this life is like the sun setting on the mountain, extremely unstable, so it cannot be trusted. It is determined that it has no ability to stay long. The actions of samsara are as numerous as the stars, and there is no end to doing them, and even if there is, it is meaningless, so one should think about this and be diligent. As it is said in the Sutra Requested by Bright Youth, "Great King, the nature of the bodies of all beings is like this: impermanent, unstable, unreliable, of the nature of destruction, short-lived, not abiding, moving, changing, ultimately decaying, momentary, ultimately decaying, the door of exhaustion and destruction, ultimately of the nature of action, accompanied by destruction, full of sorrow and confusion, aging, decaying, declining, collapsing, scattering, of the nature of destruction. Therefore, Great King, you should contemplate impermanence, contemplate decay, contemplate destruction, contemplate detachment from desire, contemplate detachment from hatred, contemplate detachment from ignorance, and you should not be attached to the power of the kingdom and the pleasures of desire. Do not be complacent with the fullness of life and health. Why is that? Great King, I do not say that by obtaining, separately obtaining, accumulating, greatly accumulating, or relying on desires, one can be satisfied with desires. Those who are satisfied are satisfied with the wisdom of the noble ones." Also, as it is said in the Teaching by Vimalakirti, "This body is born from various causes and conditions, and has no self-mastery. This body is like earth, without action. This body is like water, without self-mastery. This body is like fire, without life. This body is like wind, without personality. This body
