Regarding the fundamental object of training, one should also avoid contradictions, or reside in a place that has the ability to purify dwellings and cities, and the act of placing jewels, etc. One should discern the faults related to the continuum of the individual by not conforming to the examples and conduct of objects nominally established by conceptual thought. Having bound the continuum with such discipline of vows, the way to learn the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas: The six perfections and the two accumulations, causing unborn qualities to arise, increasing what has arisen, accumulating virtuous dharmas, is called discipline, gathered by the mind's training. The virtue embraced by love and compassion, wherever it benefits sentient beings, is giving to them. There, without self-interest, is morality. Without weariness for the sake of others, is patience. Especially entering with joy, is diligence. Single-pointed concentration for the sake of sentient beings, is meditation. Abandoning the clinging to entities and characteristics, is wisdom. The six perfections are never separate. In all four modes of conduct, possess mindfulness and awareness. The habit of a collection of virtues that completely purifies the field of activity, even the lifting and placing of steps, is also the path of the six perfections. Entering effortlessly, completing the two accumulations, is extremely swift. Thus, all the dharmas that are the cause of Buddhahood are the six perfections, or their nature is completely gathered by the two accumulations, hence it is called the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas. This is also the way to practice by relying on the six minds. In the Compendium, it says: A Bodhisattva who strives in the discipline of accumulating virtuous dharmas, if summarized, should individually examine the six minds. What are the six? They are: the mind of contempt, the mind possessing laziness, the mind of obscuration, the mind of complete weariness from seeking, and the mind possessing obstacles. Thus, the characteristic of maturing one's own continuum by applying virtuous dharmas with minds that are separated from their respective discordant factors has already been explained. In particular, applying love and great compassion to this, and mainly possessing the virtues of body and speech, therefore, considering the accumulation of all uncommon virtues as a great pervasive gathering, is the characteristic of accumulating virtuous dharmas. However, as explained by the teacher Yönten Ö (Yon tan 'od), since meditative stabilization and wisdom abide within the six perfections, therefore listening, thinking, and meditating

Generating the three wisdoms of hearing, thinking, and meditation, in order to gather the training of the mind through the practice of calm abiding (shamatha) and insight (vipashyana), speaking from the aspect of its own nature, as it is said in the Sutra Requested by Brahma Vishesha Mind: 'Not thinking is generosity, not abiding is discipline, not making any distinctions is patience, having no acceptance or rejection is diligence, being without attachment is concentration, being non-dual is wisdom.' Thus it is said. Measuring from the aspect of actions that do not slacken in serving the benefit of sentient beings: wherever one does the benefit of sentient beings is generosity, having no selfish motivation for that is discipline, no matter how much one strives for the benefit of others, not becoming weary is patience, engaging with joy is diligence, having one-pointed mind in that is meditation, not viewing those as substantial or having characteristics is wisdom. The mind of enlightenment (bodhicitta) is endowed with all kinds of excellence, and all virtuous dharmas gather into the nature of the six perfections (paramitas). All four modes of conduct are the collection of virtue that completely purifies the field of experience, as it is said in the Buddha Avatamsaka Sutra: 'When a Bodhisattva enters a room, may he generate the thought that all sentient beings may attain the city of liberation.' Likewise, when sleeping, may he attain the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. When dreaming, may he realize all dharmas as if dreaming them. When waking up, may he awaken from ignorance. When getting up, may he attain the Rupakaya of the Buddha. When putting on clothes, may he put on the clothes of shame and embarrassment. When tying a belt, may he be connected with the roots of virtue. When sitting on a cushion, may he attain the Vajra seat. When leaning back, may he attain the Bodhi tree. When lighting a fire, may he burn the firewood of afflictions. When it is blazing, may the fire of wisdom blaze. When it is cooked, may he attain the nectar of wisdom. When eating food, may he attain the food of meditation. When going out, may he be liberated from the city of samsara. When descending the stairs, may he enter samsara for the benefit of sentient beings. When opening the door, may he open the door of the city of liberation. When closing the door, may he close the door to the lower realms. When walking on the path, may he walk on the path of the noble ones. When going upwards, may he place all sentient beings in the bliss of the heavens. When going downwards, may he cut off the continuation of the three lower realms. Sentient beings
