As stated in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: "That which the world does not believe, abandon it after seeing and becoming familiar with it." In short, how should one adopt or reject the practices of beginners, those who have entered the path, those who have attained accomplishment, and the state of omniscient beings? The Great Commentary on the Kālacakra states: "Therefore, beginners should not engage in the activities of yogis, yogis should not engage in the activities of the accomplished, and the accomplished should not engage in the activities of the omniscient." This is regarded as the key or discipline of the times. Now, in order to differentiate the tenets of philosophical schools and explain the transformation of essence, for those who engage in the study of philosophical tenets: Some consider the transformation of location and essence as one, others consider one thing to have different bases, others consider all three to be materially contradictory and increasing, others differentiate from the perspective of giving and hearing, others consider them unmixed like stacked mounds, and others consider them like the sequential gathering of the sun, moon, and stars, where self-luminosity is equal, but there is a difference in capacity. Like this, from various different viewpoints, if one examines and investigates through the comprehensive stimulation of each of their previous positions, although the nature of wisdom follows speculation and words apply in accordance with examples and meanings, not reaching the extreme of overextension, the teachings of the Tathāgata are like possessing the four reliances. Even so, for the time being, while the minds of beings exist, philosophical tenets are also connected to this, therefore, considering the transformation of location and essence as one is also suitable for liberating the continuum through the realization of the Great Perfection. Because vows and non-vows arise from viewing things as real. The Bhagavan said: "Through wisdom, one obtains pure wisdom, and through pure wisdom, one obtains perfect discipline." However, for beginners who are under the influence of conceptual consciousness, melting copper ore to obtain copper, pouring brass ore to obtain brass, pouring lead to obtain tin, it is inappropriate to disparage inferior substances. Because the example follows convention, for those with conceptual thoughts attached to reality, the rain of downfall will fall. Even if one thing has different bases, although the meaning of wisdom is the same, from the perspective of concepts, the bases are different.

Eh! In the essence of Madhyamaka, it says: If examined by reason, it is not true. Other than reason, it is true. Therefore, how can truth and untruth contradict each other in the same thing? This is similar to that. The view that the three are essentially contradictory and gradually increasing is: The person who possesses the three vows completely is actually thought to exist on different grounds in the order of consciousness. Because of abandoning the knowledge that is considered essentially contradictory, the means and wisdom of the upper cannot suppress the vows of the lower, because the vows of the lower contradict the things of the upper. As stated by the Holy Immaculate One: The venerable Great Light Protector is like an ox being trampled by an elephant, which a donkey cannot bear. That is to say, although the Pratimoksha vows only partially diminish due to the transfer of the basis, the essence still exists. Some people think that even if the Pratimoksha is abandoned due to death and transfer, the essence of the vows will be transformed into Bodhisattva vows. This view is actually a transformation of meaning and purity. For example, the Pratimoksha taken with an inferior mind is actually considered to be transformed into the Bodhisattva's vows of misconduct. Although this has been recognized, the Treasury of Knowledge says: Men and women of the three continents, taking the body as the basis of birth, etc., the basis of the first birth, as well as renunciation of vows, death and transfer, the appearance of hermaphrodites, the cutting off of the root and the transcendence of sex, etc., abandon the Pratimoksha's discipline. The statement of the final boundary of abandonment is because it is thought that the Bodhisattva's vows do not follow the Vijnanavada, are not form, and are not of the same essence, and are deceived by worldly illusions, biased towards those who have their own system, and only see the meaning of this shore, so it is considered that the meaning is contradictory. Otherwise, in the Pratimoksha, the direct statement and the mere statement of the vows do not exist in the Vinaya Pitaka. Distinguishing from the boundary of abandonment and acquisition is to take into account those of small capacity who think they have been liberated. Therefore, in the first Holy One's continuum, it is said: Just like the chariot of the sun, for those who are narrow-minded and far away from profound meaning, in order to accept them, these words are first spoken in order to become the cause of entering the primordial mantra. There is also another necessity, which is aimed at those monks who are lax in their behavior. The secret wisdom empowerment should not be received by those who practice Brahmacharya.
