Saying, making precious needles, knives, and bed legs that are over the size. Spreading cotton mattresses with malicious intent and distributing them. Cushions, coarse cloth, and Dharma robes are also over the size. So on and so forth. The four categories of individual confession are: Because one must confess separately with lamentation and repentance, it is called individual confession. In "Showing the Good Path," it says: Because one must confess, one should confess separately, or because it is appropriate to confess separately, it is individual confession. The summary of this is: The categories of individual confession are four: Taking food from a Bhikshuni in a village and eating it; at home, a Bhikshuni distributes food and eats it without returning it; taking what is unsuitable from the precepts of discipline and giving it as alms; and taking food in a monastery without wandering in the forest. The one hundred and twelve offenses to be confessed are: They are the nature of minor offenses. In "Showing the Good Path," it says: Because it is an offense to be confessed that is corrected again by confession, it is an offense to be confessed. As it is said in the summary verses: What is known as the one hundred and twelve offenses to be confessed are: The lower garment is not round, wrinkled, drooping, like a cow's nose; seven like the navel and peg, door knocker; ten of the upper three garments that are not round, long or short. Not tying the belt, noisy distribution of clothes, eyes wandering; looking for a long time, wrapping clothes, changing clothes, slanting the shoulders. Hands crossed in front of the neck and behind the back; offering with one foot, toes on the chest, heels on the ground. Hands on the waist, turning the body, walking stick. Eyes squinting, shoulders touching, hands clasped. Not doing, twenty kinds of behaviors when walking at home. On the mat, without spreading, without examining, hitting the buttocks; legs stretched out, crossed, thighs pressed, ankles stacked. Hooking the feet under the bed, sitting with the feet raised. Avoiding seeing the genitals, nine kinds of sitting postures. Not accepting well, accepting face to face. Not accepting in order, looking askance at the alms bowl. Accepting with the previous food mixed in the bowl, and accepting on other containers, these eight kinds of food acceptance to be abandoned. Eating against the rules, needles too big or too small and unsuitable. Speaking with the mouth open while eating, making clicking sounds. Smacking, huffing, puffing, sticking out the tongue to eat. Separating chaff from grains, criticizing the faults of food, and swallowing in one gulp, moving, stuffing, biting off food. Licking hands, shaking, flicking hands, swaying. Making it look like a stupa, these twenty-one things to be avoided when eating. Disparaging the alms bowl, looking back, the hand not touching food scraps, not pouring water from the water vessel. Defiling without asking.

Pouring water and leaving food scraps, do not leave them on bare ground, any slope, or four-tiered steps. Do not pour them in garbage dumps, cliffs, or steep places. Do not pour while standing or when the water is turbulent, these are fourteen situations. When teaching the Dharma, the teacher stands, lies down, or is naked. The listener walks in front, and the speaker gossips behind on the roadside. Wearing a hat, hands crossed behind the neck. Wearing a belt, wearing a hat or headdress. Wearing a rosary or turban, riding an ox or horse. Riding in a palanquin or vehicle, wearing boots and shoes. Holding a cane, umbrella, weapon, sword, enemy equipment, or bow and arrow. Wearing armor and not teaching, these are twenty-six situations. The three ways of practicing are standing and defecating. Do not defecate or spit on water or grass. Do not climb a tree higher than a person, this is the only reason. Do not wear skirts with uneven hems. Do not touch a woman's breasts, do not walk on your knees, do not sway like an elephant's trunk, these are ten rules about clothing. When entering a house, do not restrain body and speech, do not make noisy sounds, these are twenty rules about behavior. Do not sit on a mat without permission, do not shake your hips, do not stretch or cross your legs, these are nine rules about sitting on a mat. Do not take food directly with the edge or mouth of the container, do not covet leftover food, these are eight rules about receiving food. Do not eat food that is too big or too small, make a "tsk tsk" sound when eating sour food, make a "chew chew" sound when eating sweet food, make a "hoo hoo" sound when eating cold food, make a "poo poo" sound when eating hot food, these are twenty-one rules about eating. Do not place the bowl on bare ground, on a garbage dump, or on the edge of a cliff, these are fourteen rules about the bowl. When the listener is sitting, the speaker stands up, and when the listener is lying down, the speaker sits down, do not teach the Dharma, these are twenty-six rules about teaching the Dharma. Standing, defecating in water or grass, these are three acts of practice. In the absence of harm from tigers, etc., climbing a tree higher than a person, in summary, there are two hundred and fifty-three precepts for monks. There are three hundred and sixty-four precepts for nuns. The root of each precept is four or eight root downfalls, as well as approximate offenses, gross offenses, conforming offenses, and special offenses. Committing a root downfall fundamentally loses the precepts. Whether the precepts can be restored in the future depends on whether a hidden intention has arisen or not. Therefore, nuns have eight root downfalls, twenty remaining offenses, thirty-three expiable offenses, and one hundred falling offenses.
