If any transgression that has occurred is not purified by abandoning it and not rectifying it, then its maturation causes one to fall into the lower realms, therefore it is called 'abandonment and transgression'. As it is said in 'Showing the Excellent Path': 'Because of the multitude and the nature of what must be abandoned, one must strive to abide in abandonment, therefore it is a transgression.' In terms of categories, there are ten sections each for robes, mats, begging bowls, etc., totaling thirty 'abandonment and transgressions'. Explaining them in detail would be too extensive. According to the clear determination of the three vows of one's own system: Retaining one's extra robes for more than ten days is binding; being separated from the Dharma robe for one night; keeping robe material for one month; having a nun wash the Dharma robe and taking robe material from her; asking for robe material from a non-relative beggar; if given, taking extra upper or lower garments; thinking of giving to oneself and storing the Dharma robe; asking with price and quantity, reminding or recalling past generosity; taking robes offered as collateral for valuables. Making a mat with silk used as inner lining; spreading a purely black mat in a sacred place; making a mat with two parts of black wool, and making a new mat before six years have passed; even if there is a suitable mat, remaking it with black wool; after finding it, using it at the end of three leagues of road. Having a nun wash wool or spin thread; taking gold and silver and commercial transactions with obvious signs; engaging in commercial activities specifically; a begging bowl that has not been blessed; holding a bowl for more than ten days; holding two begging bowls; weaving or expanding a loom without pay; a monk giving robes and then regretting and taking them back; hiding robes that should be given away and claiming ownership; being threatened in a monastery and being separated from robes for more than seven days; even if the covering and division of large cloths has been completed, half a month has passed; taking possession of the gains dedicated to the Sangha; hoarding medicine for more than seven days. If used, one will fall into the lower realms. If confessed, there is no need to abandon beforehand, therefore it is called a 'single transgression', of which there are ninety in total. Ninety single transgressions: knowingly telling lies, criticizing the faults of monks, causing discord with divisive speech, even reconciling disputes, teaching the Dharma to women who have not taken full ordination, excessively reciting together, speaking of bad dwellings and transgressions, scorning human teachers, truthful speakers, and virtuous friends, and violating the precepts.

Cutting off the seed of killing life, turning a deaf ear to my teachings, talking about fallen things but pretending not to hear, and answering other questions instead. Sitting on high seats and cushions without permission, expelling monks, and suppressing elders. Digging holes in the legs of beds, using water containing living creatures. Planting in temples, building two-story houses. Knowingly doing so, from now on to nuns, preaching without being assigned, even if assigned, during the day or night, preaching for food, sewing clothes, and giving monastic robes. Boats that go against the current in accordance with the meaning. Living alone in secluded places, standing, and being forced to eat together, these should be avoided. Repeatedly eating food, in places where heretics live, staying for more than one night, eating and using bowls. Eating and eating snacks after eating, lying to cover up the fall. Gathering inside the boundary without permission to eat. Eating untimely afternoon food and stored food. Taking medicine without giving or receiving, without chewing. Accepting delicious food, including living creatures. Sleeping in places where water is used, sleeping in places where people sleep. Walking secretly or naked in secluded shelters. Watching the army, staying in the battlefield for more than two days. Conducting army deployments, beating monks. Starting to beat, committing the sin of falling. Letting the monk's food be touched by fire. Dedicating oneself to the cause of the Sangha, but then regretting it. Sleeping with someone who has not received the Bhikshu vows for more than two nights. Claiming that those who do not give up heresy have arrived. Sleeping with a novice who does not give up heresy. Wearing non-compliant colored clothes. Touching precious military equipment and musical instruments. Bathing freely in the hot season, killing animals. Regretting what was done, eating garlic and onions. Sleeping in the same place with a beloved woman. Hating monks, hiding his belongings. Taking back what was given without faith and using it. Accusing without basis, being with women. Traveling without a man, also like a thief. Granting Bhikshu vows to those under twenty years old. Digging the ground, guests eating food for more than four months. Saying things you don't know, eavesdropping on fights. Innocent people do not speak, leaving disrespectfully. Drinking alcohol, wandering in the village in the afternoon at inappropriate times. Wandering with food in the afternoon, passing more than three houses. Sleeping in the bed of the king's beloved concubine. Now I understand reciting scriptures etc.
