Then. There are five attachments to sentient beings internally, and two attachments to external objects, making seven arising from the aspect of desire. There are two arising from harm, and four arising from exhortation, totaling thirteen. First, the remainder of emission: The basis of the story is in Shravasti, established for the group of six monks. Experiencing the pleasure of desire in a place not suitable for intercourse, that is, one's own or another's limb, and the semen is displaced. Second, the remainder of touching is also: The basis of the story is the same. Because of wanting to touch a woman with a mind of attachment, therefore, directly touching her body or parts such as hair, without any separation, experiencing the pleasure arising from that. Third, sexual language: The basis of the story is the same, speaking explicit sexual language with a mind of attachment to a woman who can understand sexual innuendo, thereby understanding its meaning. Fourth, honoring and praising is also: The basis of the story is the same. In order to pursue sexual intercourse with a mind of attachment to a woman, among all kinds of flattery, saying oneself, "Engaging in sexual intercourse with me is the best," or accepting it after the other person says it, understanding each other's meaning. Fifth, acting as a matchmaker: In Shravasti, established for the group of six monks. By a woman other than oneself who can be mated, transmitting through mutual touching, or by sending messengers, acting as a matchmaker in three ways, causing the two to meet, thereby causing the sexual organs to touch. Sixth, the remainder of building a house: When the Teacher was residing in Kaushambi, these two were established for the group of six monks. Like this, in a place where there are many creatures on the ground, and there is dispute, and there are worldly people, without obtaining permission from the Sangha, wanting to build a house for oneself with materials obtained through effort from others. Moreover, building a house exceeding eighteen cubits in length and eleven and a half cubits in width, whether digging oneself or having others dig, building a house that is surrounded on all sides and has a roof. Seventh, a large house: It is built for the purpose of accommodating four or more people. There are many creatures on the ground, etc., everything else is the same as before. The difference is that it is not necessary to obtain it through effort from others, and it exceeds the size limit. Eighth, unfounded accusation: This and the next were established in Rajagriha for friends and earth-born. The object is another monk who practices the same conduct as oneself.

The basis of the statement is that, without the three conditions of seeing, hearing, and suspecting, the words of accusation are manifestly proclaimed through any of the four defeats, and the place understands it. Ninth, a slight accusation is: taking the reason that another bhikshu in the place has a slight fault, accusing him of defeat through the implication of the words, and he understands it. Tenth, dividing the Sangha is: Devadatta established it in Rajagriha (Rajgir, around 6th century BCE). In one assembly, the bhikshu, the Bhagavan, separates the Sangha to be divided from himself, because the two are not Dharma. Moreover, the remainder of this division and the class of uninterrupted offenses are not the same. The uninterrupted offense necessarily depends on the division of the Sangha, like Devadatta's division of the wheel of the Sangha. However, for the remainder, even if one cannot divide the Sangha, it is sufficient to have engaged in the act of division and not abandoned the last of the five preventions. That is, if one does not abandon each of the first four gross offenses and the last of the three statements, it is the actual basis of the remainder. Eleventh, following the divisive one is: established in Rajagriha (Rajgir, around 6th century BCE), the bhikshus who are friends of Devadatta, such as Kokalika and the other four, agree in thought and action with those bhikshus who are engaged in dividing the Sangha, and do not abandon the last of the five preventions. Twelfth, causing householders to be displeased is: established in Shravasti (Śrāvastī, 6th century BCE), concerning Nanda and Upananda. Engaging in evil conduct that contradicts the precepts, such as playing and eating with women, causes householders to be displeased and disbelieve, even if they are expelled from their dwellings, they participate in accusing the Sangha of expellers with four untrue words, and do not abandon the last of the five preventions. Thirteenth, causing displeasure is: established in Kaushambi (Kauśāmbī, 6th century BCE), concerning Ananda. When reminding a bhikshu who has committed an offense and is attached to the precepts to observe the precepts for the sake of the Sangha, (he says:) "Whether you are good or evil, do not say anything to us," thus participating in the basis of causing displeasure, and not abandoning the last of the fifth prevention. The five preventions are: intimidation, exhortation, and association with the Sangha's petition and the three acts of speech. Thirty expiations involving forfeiture.
