Or, due to anger or belonging to the category of anger, pursuing the intention to kill, the action is using poison or weapons, or praising death, causing death, or causing others to kill, and rejoicing in killing, etc., as causes, ultimately leading to the termination of the life of the one to be killed. Even if one person kills, all monks who participate in the killing plan will commit Pārājika. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa, "For the same purpose as war, etc., all are like the executor." The fourth Pārājika is lying. In the vast country of Kalenga, five hundred fishermen ordained, and the precepts were established because they fabricated superior human dharmas. The object of speech must possess five characteristics of human language, which are composed of lineages different from oneself: being able to speak, being able to understand meaning, consciousness existing naturally, being neither male nor female, and not being hermaphrodite. The words spoken are any supramundane qualities that transcend the desire realm, from the first dhyana to the Buddha. For example, worldly dharmas, humans and non-humans, gods and nāgas, and the forms of the thirteen types of beings, saying they see when they have not seen, saying they hear when they have not heard, and the situation of them coming to see me, and the four ways of interacting with them, such as talking together, and these four ways of interacting and being on the same boat, they see me, hear my voice, come to see me, and they talk with me, etc., eight categories. Supramundane dharmas, saying that śrāvakas have entered the stream before obtaining their own path of seeing, or saying that they have obtained the once-returner fruit when only one life remains in the desire realm, or saying that they are non-returners when they have not exhausted the afflictions in the desire realm, or saying that they have obtained the arhat fruit without abandoning the objects to be abandoned at the peak of existence, or claiming to be a pratyekabuddha without obtaining the fruit of the twelve links of dependent origination, or saying that they have obtained the qualities of the noble ones when they have not obtained them, and so on. The intention is to change thoughts and cognitions, possessing the intention and motivation to lie. The action is to claim to have special abilities that surpass others, such as clairvoyance.

Even if there is no collection of merits from transformation, to fabricate as if there is a collection of merits is a verbal act. It is one's own, related to oneself, without error, clear, and openly declared. With speech possessing six characteristics, without pride, one declares that one has realized the superior human dharma, or one agrees with what others say. Ultimately, if others understand this, it is a defeat. Like this, no matter which of the four situations just mentioned is applied, if the respective collection of causes or all the limbs are not complete, it is a gross offense; if complete, it will become a defeat. Similarly, taking killing as an example, if one kills non-human beings, it is a gross offense in the form of a fundamental offense; if one kills an animal with a name, it is an offense that is conducive to defeat, or an offense similar to defeat. Proceeding in war is a conducive offense. If one kills an emanation or an image, it is an offense to be blamed. Regarding not giving and taking, if one takes what is possessed by non-humans, it is a gross offense similar to defeat. In the preparatory stage of stealing, if the thought of stealing arises, it is an offense to be confessed. Seizing what has been given, hiding for the sake of joking, or sitting or lying on a seat without permission, are all offenses to be blamed. Regarding non-celibacy, emitting semen with lustful thoughts, as well as touching women, clearly speaking obscene words, acting as a matchmaker, etc., are all conducive offenses, or offenses similar to a fundamental offense of defeat. Happiness arising from improper attention, as well as happiness arising from the imprints of dreams, etc., are all offenses to be blamed. Regarding lying, slander and complaining, etc., are all offenses similar to defeat. Hinting, and relying on a small amount of fabrication to slander, etc., are all offenses to be blamed. These are common with novices. The thirteen Sanghavasesa offenses come from the talk of showing the good path. If this offense occurs, the bedding and food, etc., are used as leftovers by the elder monks, the middle monks, and the younger monks, therefore it is called Sanghavasesa. As it is said, in his continuum, there still remains a remainder of pure precepts, relying on the Sangha, if the transgressions of offenses are remedied by the majority of the Sangha, they can still be purified, but because they are in the lower ranks of the Sangha and enjoy the leftovers of food and drink, they are called Sanghavasesa. There are also classifications for this.
