I, in a fragrant multi-storied pavilion, with foundations and pillars of crystal and jewels, beneath a canopy adorned with turquoise, red coral, and pearls, for the supreme sons of the Sugata lineage, from jeweled vases filled with scented water, the beautiful women who perform the bathing rituals, strive to compete with the transformations of song and music. Women skilled in the rituals of close contact, with eyes like those of a deer, and attendants who offer services of wiping and massaging, their complexions ever-changing. Purchase divine fabrics unwoven on looms, and fine cloths sold by the wish-fulfilling tree. Garments that are light, soft, and supple, free from heaviness, perfumed and anointed with fragrances and scented waters, and precious ornaments whose value is shameful to mention, bracelets, armlets, earrings, crowns, and so forth. Even the Thubwang (Sage King) who has abandoned the qualities of desire, accepts these as his own for the sake of accumulating merit. The sons who are close, such as the Lord of the World, and the fortunate ones of this kalpa, such as the one who leads all away from the bad migrations, the sixteen bodhisattvas and those who live as householders, and the ever-present Dharma-victorious, Du and Licchavi, even those renowned as immaculate, I make them impoverished. On a chariot of fragrance pervading the three thousand worlds, the sweet-smelling scent of sandalwood entwined, the source of a hundred million merits, the form of marks and signs, newly bathed, I anoint to secure its stability. On a crystal ground of vast equanimity, lotus flowers of loving-kindness, with a thousand stamens spread wide, displaying the radiance of the sun and moon of compassion. Please, Great Blissful Bhagavan, together with your sons, be seated here. Thus speaking. Explaining the demeanor of displaying faith and realization, with a body bowed in unfamiliar clumsiness, with reverence in my heart, displaying realization, with a container of cupped hands filled with flowers, holding the conduct of a young novice. Naturally, from the demeanor of the body, the realization of the mind is clear. If I were to go before the Tathagata and his sons, it would not be proper to sit with coquettishness, or a sullen face, or a nonchalant clumsiness. Thinking thus, I restrain myself, lower my gaze, and with hands cupped together holding flowers to my heart, I abide with a mind of reverence, fear, caution, and shame. As it says in the Bodhicaryavatara: Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, are everywhere

Possessing the eye that does not see (what is not there). All of them are before my eyes, and I constantly abide, thinking thus, shame, reverence, and fear arise. Thus it is. The Sugata's qualities, such as possessing wisdom and feet, all abide like kalpas. When coming to the garden of faith, it is not weariness but the hair standing on end. Such bodily gestures urge the mind's nature of faith. The endless qualities of all the Buddhas previously mentioned, such as wisdom and feet, and the compassionate gaze, as if overdue in other realms, invite only us as guests of faith, holding our breath, and the body is merely hair standing on end, generated by the intense emotion of faith. As it is said in the question of Good Guardian: Thereafter, good deeds cause the hair to stand on end, and one takes refuge in the Bhagavan. This serves as an example. Having generated faith in this way, one should offer the seven branches. The noble Asanga said: Bodhisattvas who wish to quickly realize complete and perfect enlightenment should perform prostrations three times during the day and three times during the night, make offerings, confess sins, rejoice, request the turning of the wheel of Dharma, request not to enter nirvana, and dedicate to enlightenment. As it is said, the supreme offering is the excellent seven branches for accumulating merit and purifying obscurations. Among them, the first branch, the branch of prostration, is: Like a new moon entering a bathing pool, like a peacock girl playing gracefully, with the number of youth equal to the number of dust particles, busy with prostrations that generate extreme bewilderment. The meaning of prostration is the supreme of the limbs, the meaning of touching the head to the ground. Joining the palms like a lotus bud and then separating them again is the general definition of prostration, as it is said in the Great Liberation Sutra: Like a lotus bud opening, joining the hands at the crown of the head, with immeasurable clouds of bodies, prostrating to the Buddhas of the ten directions. Thus it is. Among them, the first of the prostrations is like a tree falling to the ground, the entire body carefully stretched out on the ground, called the prostration of Dipamkara. If that cannot be done, then the five-limbed prostration, the head
