However, the roots of virtue initially grasped by the Bodhicitta that is obtained and not lost, like a drop of water merging into a great river, are continuously connected to the stream of virtuous deeds that are conducive to liberation. Due to the extraordinary admiration for the profound reality, a stream of inexhaustible merit equal to space will arise, as stated in the "Questions of Glorious Giving Sutra": "The merit of a Bodhisattva, if it had form, would fill the entire realm of space, and it would be even greater than that." And so on. Among the six perfections of conduct that lead to it, the first five, such as generosity, are the cause of happiness due to universal ignorance, while wisdom is the cause of liberation. Thus, the way in which those with such intelligence accumulate the complete collection on the Mahayana path is explained as follows: The collection of many eons will also be completely accumulated. Just as there are endless differences in the speed of travel of cattle, horse-drawn carts, the sun, and the moon, know the skillful means of the great wise ones. The vows of three countless eons will also be destroyed by this. Among them, Bodhisattvas with extremely dull faculties require thirty-three countless eons, that is, three in each of the stages of accumulation and preparation, and three in each of the ten bhumis. Those with medium faculties require seven countless eons, that is, two in each of the stages of accumulation and preparation, one in the path of seeing, and two in the path of cultivation. Those with sharp faculties require three. As it is said in the "Middle Way Jewel Lamp": "Those with sharp faculties attain complete enlightenment in three countless eons, those with medium faculties in seven countless eons, and those with dull faculties in thirty-three countless eons." Thus, the limit of those with sharp faculties is also established as three countless eons. From the initial generation of the Mahayana mind, the dull faculties approach the mixed practice of the Hearer Vehicle, and are slightly stable, slightly unstable, and even for the sake of life, they abide solely in the Mahayana with steadfastness and respect, and the difference in intelligence in diligence in Bodhicitta, great compassion, the six perfections, the four reliances, and the four means of gathering, gradually accumulating the two collections equally, and with great mental strength, accumulating the collections of many eons in each moment, therefore it is countless.

The manner of breaking the mother's vow is shown by five examples of quickness and slowness. From the Sutra of the Mudra of Entering into Certainty and Uncertainty: Manjushri, there are five kinds of Bodhisattvas. What are the five? They are: like going with a cart pulled by livestock, like going with a cart pulled by an elephant, like going with the sun and moon, like going with the magical power of a Shravaka, and like going with the magical power of a Tathagata. Bodhisattvas who go like a cart pulled by livestock and like a cart pulled by an elephant will turn back from Bodhi. Bodhisattvas who go like the sun and moon, like the magical power of a Shravaka, and like the magical power of a Tathagata will not turn back from Bodhi. So, what is a Bodhisattva who goes like a cart pulled by livestock? For example, someone wants to cross as many world realms as there are dust particles in five Buddha fields. So he rides on a cart pulled by livestock and sets out on the road. After a long time, he has gone a hundred yojanas. Then, a great wheel of wind blows him back, pushing him back eighty yojanas. So, can that person, riding on a cart pulled by livestock, cross those world realms, or even in kalpas to unspeakable and again unspeakable kalpas, can he cross one world realm? He replied: Lord, no, there is no opportunity. The Lord said: Similarly, if someone generates the mind of Bodhi, but does not hold, read, or recite the Great Vehicle, does not properly apply his mind, but instead attends to the Hearer Vehicle and associates with them. He reads and recites the Hearer Vehicle, contemplates and understands it, and also causes others to read it, until they understand it. Then, his wisdom will become dull, and he will be drawn back from the path of unsurpassed wisdom and turn back. The power of wisdom and the eye of wisdom of that Bodhisattva, which arose from meditating on the mind of Bodhi, will also become dull and decline. This
