Thus, the view of the path of the heretics is combined with the perverted such as self, therefore in all aspects it is a path devoid of wisdom. Thus, there is no liberation in that. The Hearers do not possess great compassion, it is a path devoid of skillful means, therefore they will tend towards the one-sided extinction. Here, the path of the stainless liberation Bodhisattva, possessing both skillful means and wisdom, is the nature of pacifying afflictions. Therefore, they will tend towards the non-abiding Nirvana. Thus, by the power of wisdom, one does not fall into samsara, and by the power of skillful means, one does not fall into Nirvana. Thus, in the Sutra Collecting the True Dharma it is said: "The Bodhisattva who sees things as they truly are, great compassion arises towards sentient beings. He also thinks like this: I shall accomplish this door of Samadhi which sees all dharmas as they truly are for all sentient beings." He, motivated by that great compassion, perfects the intention of superior morality, superior mind, and superior wisdom, and manifestly attains the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Thus it is said. Therefore, although the Bodhisattvas see the ultimate truth, they do not abandon the conventional truth, and because they do not abandon the conventional truth, with great compassion as the guide, they engage in accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. From the 'Treasury of Qualities, Joyful Rain', the chapter on the Four Immeasurables, which is the commentary on the seventh chapter. Holding the Mind of Enlightenment, which is the commentary on the eighth chapter. Thus, after making the mind-stream capable with the four immeasurables of the nature of aspiration, in order to show the essence of entering, mainly the meaning of generating the mind of enlightenment, it says: What is the benefit of what is obtained, is the excellence of merit? The mind of enlightenment obtained by the four immeasurables, guided by the illusory means of the chariot of aspiration and action, causes the evil view of peace and happiness to decline. Thus, the adornment of words is spoken in the manner of cause and effect of arising and accomplishing, and of abandoning and practicing. Just as pursuing the benefit of what is obtained, just as the merit aimed at that increases, so the result produced by the four immeasurables as the cause.
