Among these, based on the difference in the power of habituation, three types of abodes, and so on, are established. In general, there are eighteen types of abodes in the form realm, divided into two types of abodes: those of the noble ones and those of ordinary beings. The first is the five Pure Abodes, because there is no taint of defilements. The first of these is called Akanistha (Ogmin) because it is above all forms with desire and form. Its body size is 16,000 yojanas, and its lifespan is also 16,000 intermediate kalpas. The one below it is known as Sudarshana (Shintu Tong), because seeing each other generates great joy, or because one sees the pure view, hence it is called that. The lifespan and body size decrease by half from each higher one to the lower ones. The one below that is called Atapa (Gya Nom Nangwa), because the bliss of body and mind being pacified is extensive. The one below that is called Avriha (Mi Gendungwa), because there is no torment of desire in body and mind. The one below that is called Brihatphala (Mi Chewa), because it is smaller in body size than the four above, and desire and attachment do not appear to be strong. These are called the five abodes of the noble ones. Above the abodes of the noble ones, there is a place called Akanistha Great Adornment, which is the place where the last existence Bodhisattvas, the great masters of the ten bhumis, attain Buddhahood. As stated in the Chandra-garbha Sutra: "Having abandoned the pure abodes, in the delightful place called Akanistha, the truly enlightened ones attain Buddhahood there." The second type is the abodes of ordinary beings. The peak of the three higher abodes of the four dhyanas is the Great Fruit, because it is formed from the great fruit of virtue corresponding to merit. The body size is 500 yojanas, and the lifespan is also 500 intermediate kalpas. The one below that is called Punya-prasava (Sönam Kyé), because it is born from merit such as meditating on the four immeasurables. The decrease in body size and lifespan by half is like the abodes of the noble ones. The one below that is Anabhraka (Trinmé Ö), because the dense cloud of light prevents ordinary clouds from existing. Below that, the upper one of the three stacked divine abodes of the third dhyana is called Vrihatphala (Gégyé), because it is formed from greatly increased roots of virtue. The one below that is Asamjnika (Tsadmé Gé), because it is born from immeasurable roots of virtue. The one below that is Parittakusala (Gé Chung),

This is because it arises from the fruit of virtuous deeds smaller than a lotus. Below that, above the triple layer of the second dhyana heaven, is called the Clear Light Heaven, because the body has clear light. Below that is the Immeasurable Light Heaven, because the body has immeasurable light. Below that is the Small Light Heaven, because the light is less than the one above. Below that, above the three types of abodes of the first dhyana, is called the Great Brahma Heaven, because it eliminates the faults of desire and the body is larger than the ones below? Or because the king does not leave his own position, but manifests incarnations in all the lower heavens, he appears great. Below that is the Brahma Retinue Heaven, because it serves as the attendant of the Great Brahma? Or because each of them has reciters in front of them? Or because they are retinues, they are all retinues of Brahma. Because it helps to accomplish the activities of the Great Brahma, it is called the Brahma Near Helper. Below that is called Brahma Heaven, because they abandon non-Brahma sinful deeds and practice the virtuous path of the four immeasurables, etc. They are born with immeasurable palaces and clothes, appearing like rainbows in the sky. Because they are attached to the blissful feeling of the samadhi of the upper realm, they are beings with desire for existence and do not need coarse food. Unlike sentient beings in the desire realm, they do not have manifest suffering and coarse discriminations, so there is no anger or strife. Because they have the obscurations of latent afflictions, they die and transmigrate. Because they do not have autonomy over their abode, they have the suffering of changing abodes. Then there are the heavens and the two lower realms of the desire realm. Among the heavens, there are also gods and humans. The first is the six desire realms. The upper layer that relies on the sky is the Paranirmitavasavartin, which is below the Brahma realm. Because they have the power to enjoy the enjoyments transformed by others, they are called that. Because the manifested wish-fulfilling jewels and their own transformations appear as the wealth of others, they are called Paranirmitavasavartin. The body is two kotis of yojanas, which is seven hundred and fifty bows. The lifespan is one day and night of their own, which is equivalent to one thousand six hundred years of humans. Calculating in years and months, they can live sixteen thousand years. Below that is the Nirmanarati Heaven, where they transform countless hundreds of thousands of children from the light of their bodies and play and enjoy themselves, or the enjoyment transformed by themselves.
