And, one attains the supreme fruit adorned with harmlessness and joy. Thus it is said. In order to explain the object of joy, the nature of joy is other perfections, entering with a joyful mind, cultivate good wishes for all beings, rejoicing that each attains according to their own ability, and wishing that they may never be separated from this happiness in the future. There are also three divisions of this. In the "Extensive Explanation of the Four Immeasurables," it says: The so-called joy is the joy that those beings feel because they possess the wealth of material things, the wealth of Dharma, and the wealth of happiness. The joy that focuses on the complete perfection of oneself is the meaning of rejoicing by focusing on the great accumulation of virtuous qualities. The joy that focuses on the taste of the sacred Dharma is the meaning of rejoicing through oneself and others gaining the taste of hearing the Dharma, the taste of thinking, and the taste of meditating. As it is said, here one should experience the meaning of the first type, that is, when seeing any sentient beings who are happy and joyful, wealthy and possessing enjoyment, and free from unfavorable conditions, may this happiness and wealth of this being be completely perfect, and may they never be separated at any time or place. Likewise, may all sentient beings in the realms be completely happy. When will I experience the joy of seeing such a state? Furthermore, how wonderful it would be if they could have long life, be free from illness, generate special virtuous thoughts, turn away from sinful thoughts, temporarily obtain the happiness and results of gods and humans, and ultimately obtain the happiness of omniscience! As the "Twenty Thousand Verses" says: When you see any sentient beings who are wealthy with their own happiness, you should think like this: May they never be separated from this happiness! May they transcend the happiness of gods and humans and attain the happiness of omniscience! Thus it is said. In particular, for all those who have become objects of jealousy and competition, one should transform one's mind like cultivating loving-kindness, and learn to generate pure good wishes, which is the antidote to the opposing factors of joy. Incidentally, one should also cultivate joy in manifesting one's own roots of virtue and in generating the wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating, striving to create methods for generating joy in the future, and all of these

Without being bound by the rope of clinging attachment, one should view it as the nature of illusion. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: 'Magicians conjure up, horses and elephants and various vehicles, in which there is nothing that appears as it is, all dharmas should be known in the same way.' Thus, sentient beings who are objects of joy, conditioned virtues, and the three wisdoms, etc., should also be known as the nature of illusion without appearance, and sealed with dedication. The benefit is: temporarily, one's mind is free from jealousy and pain, so one feels at ease, and peace is naturally achieved. Ultimately, the way to have great meaning, as it is said in the Eight Thousand Verses: 'Having a joyful mind, rejoicing immeasurably, not being robbed by Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, one obtains the supreme perfection.' Thus it is. The way to cultivate equanimity, the nature of equanimity is to sever love and hate, to cut off bias and expand equality, to equally benefit the three: enemies, friends, and neutrals. Combine with conceptual and non-conceptual intention. There are two: measuring the meaning of equanimity, and equanimity focused on sentient beings. The former is a synonym for treating both equally without distinguishing between good and bad, etc. For example, in terms of the eight worldly dharmas, if I do not rejoice and cling to obtaining perfect enjoyment, then it is natural not to be discouraged when losing or not obtaining it. It is equanimity that is equal whether obtained or not. Similarly, if one does not feel excessive joy towards the side that reveres and serves, then because of reducing the clinging to reality of rejection and attachment towards the side that is angry and beats, happiness and suffering are equanimity. If one becomes proud because of praising one's lineage, appearance, and qualities, then it is natural to be unbearable towards the side that reveals and slanders faults. The opposite of both is equanimity without joy or anger towards praise and blame. If one is happy when one's qualities are known by others, or if one is discouraged because one is not heard by the public and is unknown, if neither exists, it is equanimity without joy or anger towards fame and obscurity. Practicing Dharma for one's own benefit
