It is not. From there up to the Perfection of Wisdom, it is said that one must go through. The ten things to be abandoned are: stinginess, immoral discipline, anger, laziness, distraction, wrong wisdom, lack of skillful means, obscurations of power, unfulfilled aspirations, and obscurations of knowledge. These ten things to be abandoned should be understood as its very nature. If classified, the path of meditation is divided into three: small, medium, and large. With a division of three sets of three, there are nine. Among them, the smallest of the small is the second ground, the stainless ground, which is the perfection of discipline that has become supreme. As stated in the Ornament of Clear Realization: "Because it is free from the defilement of striving for immoral discipline, it is called the stainless ground." And as stated in the Precious Garland: "Because of its ripening, the perfection of discipline becomes supreme, becoming the master of the seven glorious jewels, a wheel-turning king who benefits beings." Therefore, the immoral discipline and the defilement of striving are completely purified, and the twelve thousand qualities mentioned earlier are obtained in an instant, and one is able to obtain the rebirth of a wheel-turning king who rules over the four continents. The medium of the small is the third ground, the illuminating ground, which comes from the perfection of patience. As stated in the Ornament: "Because it makes a great light of Dharma, it is called the illuminating ground." And as stated in the Precious Garland: "Because of its ripening, patience and diligence increase, becoming a powerful and wise god, able to reverse desire and attachment." This means that because a great light of Dharma arises, or rather, the light of peaceful wisdom, it is able to generate meditation and clairvoyance, has twelve hundred thousand qualities, and is able to obtain the rebirth of Indra, the lord of the gods, possessing such power. The large of the small is the fourth ground, the radiating ground, which is the perfection of diligence. As stated in the Ornament: "Thus, the Dharma in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment, is like a light that burns intensely. Because it is endowed with that, this ground, because it burns the two, is radiating." And as stated in the Precious Garland: "Because of its ripening, breaking through the limits, one becomes a king of the gods. The view of the aggregation of self is extremely blazing, a skillful one who destroys everything." This means that because the light of correct wisdom is sharp like a burning flame, it is called the radiating ground, and the qualities are as before.

By acting in this way, one obtains twelve kotis of merits and takes birth as the king of twins. The medium lower, the fifth bhumi, the Difficult to Train, is the perfection of meditation. The Ornament says: 'To fully ripen sentient beings, and also to protect one's own mind, what is difficult to train for the wise, therefore it is called the Difficult to Train.' Also, the Garland says: 'Its fully ripened result is, becoming the god-king of the Tushita heaven.' Because protecting the mind in samadhi is difficult for others to overcome, the noble ones see it as the truth, and from understanding the profound and subtle meaning, wise ones arise, possessing twelve kotis of qualities, and becoming the king of the Tushita heaven. The medium middle, the sixth bhumi, the Manifest, is the perfection of wisdom. The Ornament says: 'Relying on the perfection of wisdom, samsara and nirvana, both are manifested here, therefore it is called the Manifest bhumi.' Also, the Garland says: 'Its fully ripened result is, becoming the god-king of the Paranirmitavasavartin heaven.' Because of manifestly turning towards the Dharma of Buddhahood, habituating oneself to the union of calm and insight, thereby increasing the merit of obtaining cessation. Possessing the previous twelve kotis of qualities, and becoming the king of the Paranirmitavasavartin heaven. The medium upper, the seventh bhumi, the Far Gone, is the perfection of skillful means. The Ornament says: 'Because it is connected with the one path, it is considered the Far Gone bhumi.' It means, being far from the difficult to cross mire of samsara. The Praise of Dharmadhatu says: 'Having crossed the mire of the ocean of samsara, therefore it is called the Far Gone.' Another explanation is that the number of bhumis itself has gone far, therefore it is established as the name for entering into cessation moment by moment. The Jewel Garland says: 'The seventh is the Far Gone bhumi, because it possesses the number of going far. Because moment by moment, it enters into cessation. Its fully ripened result is, becoming the lord of the Ishvara gods.' It means, the difference in qualities possesses twelve kotis of hundred thousand kotis, and becoming the king of the Paranirmitavasavartin heaven. The upper lower, the eighth bhumi, the Immovable, is the perfection of strength.
