Furthermore, the latter holy one refers to the meaning of attaining the wisdom of liberation. As mentioned earlier: Just like a sensitive awareness, bound by the chains of bondage, once untied, it can easily escape and travel unhindered. Similarly, the awareness of the mind, bound by the bondage of ignorance, once the holy one opens the door of liberation, the stream of consciousness can be completely liberated and travel unhindered. This is what is said in the sixty-seventh chapter. To prevent the reversal of faults in one's own perception, one should not view any action with a reversed perspective. Know that in India, many powerful people may appear as outcastes, paupers, or criminals, even more degraded than the fallen. If one cannot control one's own perception, then the sin of judging others' faults is immeasurable. The monk Starry Good, who had mastered the twelve divisions of scripture, was struck down by the power of evil, and all he saw was the deceit and hypocrisy of the teacher's actions. After careful consideration, it is actually oneself who is deceiving oneself. Therefore, how could holy beings abiding on the ground of the noble ones, who have no confusion in their minds, have faults in their actions? Because they have already accomplished their own benefit, now is the time to benefit others. Therefore, their actions may be peaceful, wrathful, extremely expansive, or even attached, appearing in various ways to tame sentient beings. Even if a little distrust arises towards this, know that there is no one other than the guru who is the guide to the path of liberation, and therefore all the auspicious connections to the path will be lost. Like this, at the time when the holy guru, who is difficult to find in countless eons, and the profound Dharma of the Great Vehicle are combined, the evil demons strive to create obstacles by various means. In any case, they will create imperceptible divisions between the teacher and the disciple, to the point of producing countless false appearances. They create difficulties in all favorable conditions such as food, shelter, and health. When traveling, there is fear of harm, doubts in the mind, and obstruction from parents, children, and spouses. Even if one enters the path of Dharma and practice, there will be doubt and wrong views towards the guru and the Dharma, attachment to worldly pleasures, self-importance and arrogance without having attained any qualities, untimely altruistic actions and compassion, creating enemies, etc., causing the mind to be outwardly distracted.

Many kinds of appearances arise in the mindstream. At that time, recognize those as demons and settle the mind in its natural state. Generate even greater respect for the lama and the Dharma, and wear the armor of courageous perseverance to endure difficulties. As it says in the Intermediate Mother Tantra: "Just as a precious jewel is cherished with diligence and joy because it has many demons, so too, when seeking the precious jewel of the Perfection of Wisdom, evil demons will strive to create obstacles, striving to ensure that it is not heard. They will diligently create various harms that cause one to be separated from virtuous friends, thereby causing the mind to wander outwards. At that time, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva should think: 'Evil demons obstruct virtuous Dharma, and one must ensure that they do not prevail. One must wear great armor.'" As it is said. In particular, the measure of those Bodhisattvas who have attained the inconceivable wisdom, awareness, and eloquence of the Great Vehicle, and who, from the path of their own Vinaya, grant permission and prohibition according to the literal meaning, cannot be grasped even by ordinary beings, and to imitate their conduct is a great fault. For example, in the Sutra of the Holy Vimalakirti, it says: "Shariputra, the depth of all the oceans can be measured, but the depth of the wisdom, awareness, memory, retention, and eloquence of the Bodhisattvas cannot be measured." It also says: "Bhikkhu, do not generate the thought that this is a householder." As it is said, such Bodhisattvas do not necessarily enjoy the qualities of desire in an illusory manner. In the Holy Hundred Thousand Verses, it says: "Son of Sharadvati, some Bodhisattva Mahasattvas must have a father and mother, but do not need a son, daughter, or wife. Some need a father, mother, son, and daughter." It also says: "For what reason is this said? Some Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, being skilled in means, for the sake of fully maturing sentient beings, engage in the qualities of desire...
