How is it when covered by the habits of transmigration? When free from the habits of transmigration, it is still the same, therefore it is called Suchness. Even though it is one, for sentient beings, it transforms into sixteen natures due to the differences of bodily pleasure and so on. For the Tathagatas, it transforms into sixteen due to the (various) differences of the manifested body and the manifested speech and so on. Where does it reside? It is called 'Going to existence without existence.' The Suchness (sixteen) of those in samsara remains in samsara due to the power of the habits of the four moving drops. The Suchness of the Tathagatas is called 'Holding sixteen halves of bindus,' because it does not move, it is impossible to move, so it is called 'Going to existence without existence' (the forehead is the place that dominates existence). Therefore, the Suchness (sixteen) of sentient beings is the cause, and the Suchness (sixteen) of the Tathagatas is the result. Why is it the cause? Because by the power of meditating on emptiness, the yogis generate the fourth state of wisdom bindu (without leaking the essence), thereby obtaining the co-emergent body. Similarly, when the mind bindu (without leaking the essence) that generates the state of deep sleep, the speech bindu (without leaking the essence) that generates the state of dreaming, and the body bindu (without leaking the essence) that generates the state of wakefulness cease, then in sequence, the Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya, and the Nirmanakaya are obtained. Therefore, for sentient beings, the moving Suchness is samsara, and not the immovable nature. For the Tathagatas (having transformed into pure essence without essence and dross), the immovable Suchness is non-abiding Nirvana, and not the moving nature. Similarly, in the 'Namasamgiti,' it is said: 'Possessing all aspects, yet without aspects. Holding sixteen halves of bindus.' Those in samsara, because the four drops (of body, speech, mind, and wisdom) move, are consumed by the habits of samsara, but the Buddhas are not like that. Why? Because half of sixteen is eight, and eight of... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Half is four, that is, holding the four bindus (of body, speech, mind, and wisdom). Therefore, in the 'Namasangiti', it is said that it itself is sixteen kinds of wisdom. Then, is this the nature of samsara or the nature of nirvana? What is called 'the unity of knowing and the known', by what does one know the nature of nirvana? That is wisdom, that is knowing. The known is the self-perfected nature, which is nirvana. These being united is called the unity of knowing and the known, also known as the characteristic of non-abiding nirvana. Whose field of activity does that become? What is called 'the vow of the Victorious One', the Victorious One is victorious over Mara and afflictions, such as (Buddha) Akshobhya and so on. They themselves become the main ones, so they are called 'Supreme', that is, Vajrasattva. Becoming their field of activity, it is called 'the vow of the Victorious One', but it is not becoming the field of activity for samsaric beings. Furthermore, the twelve aspects are limbs, which are the true meaning. The twelve aspects are the nature of Makara and so on, and ignorance and so on. One is up and down, two are left and right, and three are equal and unequal changes (great changes). The limbs are the nature of sixty mandalas, that is, twenty-one thousand six hundred. For samsaric beings, due to the difference of twelve changes, the life-force flows, therefore the twelve aspects of true meaning are obscured. For the Tathagatas, the twelve changes are stopped, therefore they are the twelve limbs without obscuration. Similarly, in the 'Namasangiti' it is said: 'Having twelve aspects of true meaning.' What is that? What is called 'Bodhi mind', the conventional truth is what comes from above, the ultimate truth is going upwards, so it is said 'Having twelve aspects of true meaning, that itself is sixteen kinds of wisdom', meaning the (upward) returning Bodhi mind. What is that like? What is called 'the Vajra word (realm) of the Victorious One', the Victorious One refers to Bhagavan Vajrasattva, his Vajra word refers to the door of scriptures, ordinary people cannot speak of it, so it is called 'the Vajra word of the Victorious One'. Thus, Bhagavan Kalachakra... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
