Here, for all sentient beings abiding in the six realms, bestowing worldly and transworldly attainments in their respective languages, this is the speech of the Bhagavan (Blessed One), not the language of the gods. Therefore, the deeds of the Bhagavan (body, speech, mind, and wisdom), even the Buddhas (Hearers and Solitary Realizers) who have passed into nirvana with remaining aggregates cannot fully comprehend, let alone ordinary beings (such as non-Buddhists). Now, to proclaim that the deeds and activities of the Buddha Bhagavan can destroy the suffering of samsara and generate the bliss of nirvana, it is declared through verses such as 'Born from such a pure body, without change.' (29) Then, if the Bhagavan performs these actions, wouldn't he become conceptual and impermanent because of the distinction between the knower and the known, and because of having the division of action and agent? To this, the verses such as 'Glorious Moon' are proclaimed. For example, when crystal meets the rays of the moon, the crystal drips water without conceptualization. Similarly, the Buddha, in order to purify the obscurations of sentient beings, takes on illusory and dream-like aggregates and teaches the Dharma, and beings with different capacities will understand the Dharma accordingly. (30) Thus, when they become the unchanging nature, they accomplish their own benefit and the benefit of others. Therefore, 'Kalachakra (Wheel of Time) Transformation' and so on are proclaimed. Therefore, when the aggregates are pure and without obscurations, from that time onwards, the Bhagavan is unborn and undying, because he has become the unchanging nature of bliss. (31) Now, here, the names of numbers such as 'one' are indicated by coded language. For numbers such as 'one,' it should be understood that 'one' is expressed by the moon (one) and form (one). Similarly, 'two' is expressed by Yama (Lord of Death) and pairs (two), hands (two), intercourse (two), eyes (two), directions, and northward movements. For desire, 'three' is expressed by the worlds (three) such as enjoyment, times (three) such as the past, qualities (three) such as courage, and fire (three) such as the south. The four oceans (such as the salt sea), the four times (such as the perfect time), and the four Vedas such as sacrifices. The five arrows such as form, the five elements such as earth, and the five senses such as eyes. The six tastes such as heat, and the six seasons such as spring. The seven planets such as the sun, the seven mountains such as blue light, and the seven Buddhas such as Vipashyin. The eight nagas such as Nanda, the eight treasures such as iron, and the eight gods such as the eastern god. The nine channels such as Avadhuti, the nine orifices such as eyes, the nine seizing planets such as the sun, and the nine treasures of substances. The ten directions such as east. The eleven wrathful ones. The twelve suns residing in Capricorn etc. The thirteen desire gods or those without limbs. The fourteen impotent sages such as Rishi Shebuda, and the fourteen abodes of existence such as earth. The fifteen days such as the first day of the lunar month. The sixteen such as human lord, king, chariot. The eighteen faults such as eye consciousness. The twenty-four victors such as the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha. The twenty-five suchnesses such as earth. The thirty-two teeth above and below. Now, he proceeds to speak of the faults and merits of beginners. In the verses beginning with 'man', (in the human realms) whoever finds fault with the glorious Lama (who is the master of Vajradhara), who has become the embodiment of the emanation body of the Bhagavan Vajradhara (free from afflictions), because of breaking the samaya (vows), (beings) will certainly enter into hell (there is no wonder). Therefore, if (he) pleases the mind of the Lama (that is, he pleases me), then he will please the minds of all the Buddhas. (If he makes a great fire of anger towards him, that is anger towards me.) Knowing this, (because he gives beings the fruit of bliss and liberation), in order to accomplish one's own perfect benefit, at all times one should (prostrate) and with all things (offer) to the Lama.
