Even if only bearing one burden of the Buddha's teachings, they harbor a small craving for fame, gain, and trivial matters in their hearts. Some, like chasing after the sound of a rabbit's call, though narrow-minded and full of distractions, make many requests and acquisitions, yet do not compose even a single page of text, nor practice a single key point. Most people do not want to exert any effort themselves, nor do they need to rely on the Dharma. If they could take a ladle of water from a great river, without needing promises or guarantees, then they would make a request. Moreover, at this time, the kindness of requesting and hearing the Dharma should be attributed to the Lama. This Lama, like mercury falling on the ground, not mixing with dust, has never been defiled by malicious gazes. From a young age, he properly relied on the Lama and properly sought the sacred Dharma, possessing an innate aspect of liberation. Therefore, he visited all the sacred sites from Ü-Tsang (Central Tibet) to Lho Mon (Southern Bhutan). When he went to listen to the Dharma from the venerable guides, only the attendant Tsultrim Gyatso and the master and disciple traveled in the manner of wandering ascetics. Sometimes, without even attendants, they walked barefoot, enduring unspeakable hardships, and thoroughly performed prostrations, offerings, gatherings, and prayers at the sacred sites. To the Lamas, the offerings, though not large, were the best they could afford, with pure quality. They listened to the Dharma and instructions until their hearts were content, without considering whether living expenses were sufficient or the length of time. Later, even without deliberate pursuit, wealth would effortlessly and spontaneously arise. At that time, they would offer a clean mandala every day, and upon the completion of empowerments and teachings, they would combine it with longevity prayers, offering the best gifts, and so on. In short, everything he did was based on the Dharma-compliant actions described in the Sutras and Tantras. As the "Treasury of Precious Qualities" says: "The Lama, flawless and complete in qualities, in the degenerate age is equal to the Buddha. With utmost purity, faith, and reverence, serve him at the crown of your head." He served the Vajra holders who possess the three qualities in this way. As the "Essence of the Earth Sutra" says: "Listen to the Dharma with one-pointed faith and reverence, do not revile or slander it, and offer to the speaker of the Dharma as you would to the Buddha."

As it is said, "Generate respect for that." Like this, all the spiritual friends who speak the Dharma are equally respected. In the Ornament of Dense Clouds Sutra, it says: "Manjushri, where does the Dharma speaker reside? Seeing him will purify the five inexpiable sins. The Dharma speaker should also be offered to. Even if the Dharma speaker engages in the five inexpiable sins, one should not be disturbed by it." Keeping the meaning of these words in mind, even to those who appear ordinary, with respect, even if it is just a single piece of advice, they would listen. All that they heard, they would not take lightly, but would copy scriptures, draw mandalas of the new and old tantras, construct tsakalis of terma and so on, and for empowerment tools and all the offering items, they would give away whatever possessions they had without hesitation, building everything in a way that others could emulate, and so on. They only took to heart the activities that pleased the noble lamas and benefited the teachings, thus establishing the completion of the qualities of the paths and bhumis as a side effect as the foundation. Just as in a good year, the ears of grain come as a side effect, all the glory and wealth of the present also increased year by year. As Yeshe Gyatso said: "Whoever, in the work of the lama, is a fortunate one of the wise, to all the Buddhas of the three times, for six hundred million kotis of kalpas, making prostrations, this is of great meaning. If one practices as the lama instructs, all desires will be fulfilled, and immeasurable merit will be obtained. Whoever pleases the lama with their own possessions and implements, this one, from the three realms of samsara, will take a breath in the pure land of the emanation body, and go to the place of nirvana." This is what has become manifest. All those teachings that were heard were not just mere names, but the categories of explanations of each philosophical system, the demarcation of view and meditation, the profound essence of the generation and completion stages, and even the subtle practices of rituals and instructions, all known clearly without mixing the traditions of each, and they also put them into practice in this way. These are also as it is said: "Noble ones do not make many promises, but if they take a vow with difficulty, like drawing a line on a stone, even if they die, they will not change it." And: "A fool is like a drawing in water, whatever is done quickly disappears, a wise person is like a drawing on stone."
