Now, the main deity is Vajradhatu. From the feet of Vajradhara Kunga, he received the two systems of Anuttarayoga Father Tantra Guhyasamaja and the Mother Tantra Chakrasamvara of Luipa and Krishnacharya. From the all-pervading Shalu Pandita and Jamyang Lodro Thaye (འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་བློ་གྲོས་མཐའ་ཡས། ), he received the complete Kalachakra empowerment of body, speech, and mind. From the two great Khenchen Vajradharas, he received the eightfold realization of the ultimate tantra, the empowerment of glorious Hevajra. From Jamgon Thutob Namgyal (འཇམ་མགོན་མཐུ་སྟོབས་རྣམ་རྒྱལ། ) and others, he heard the immeasurable empowerments represented by the Nyingma school's three sections of Sutra, Illusion, and Mind, and the Kagyu school's three doctrines of Kadampa, Gongchok, and Phurba. He matured and liberated his mind-stream through the vows of the Vidyadhara mantra, entered the teachings, and became a great and complete threefold Vajradhara. Fourth, regarding how he relied on virtuous spiritual friends and crossed to the other shore of the ocean of vast learning through listening, contemplating, and meditating: As it is said in the Arya Ashtasahasrika Prajnaparamita Sutra: "A Bodhisattva who is completely taken care of by a virtuous spiritual friend will awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." Also, as it is said in the Abhisamayalankara: "All the Buddha's teachings rely on virtuous friends." The Victorious One, possessing the supreme of all qualities, spoke thus. Like that and so on. This holy being, from a young age, only delighted in relying on virtuous spiritual friends and lamas without sectarian bias, and it seems that seeking the sacred Dharma from them was his main activity. Those who are proud of their noble lineage, family, high position and status, and the glory of power and wealth, even if a lama lower than themselves has the qualities of the Dharma, are unwilling to rely on them for fear of diminishing their own greatness, fearing criticism from others, and being filled with the pride of 'I'. Those who have some understanding of the fields of knowledge or the Sutras and Tantras are also arrogant and conceited because they know so much, thinking, 'I am wise,' 'I am a great Geshe,' and they are puffed up with pride and do not bow down to anyone. Most people are attached to the one-sided view of 'I belong to that monastery and adhere to that religious tradition,' and regardless of whether their own tradition's lama has qualities or not, they are simply foolishly attached.

In this degenerate age, where people are as steadfast as the earth and mostly engage in collecting offerings, with very few pursuing profound and extensive Dharma activities, the appearance of an extraordinary conduct, unlike others, is like a flash of lightning, arising from the power of past aspirations. He possesses absolutely no arrogance regarding lineage, status, power, wealth, etc. Regardless of how much learning and virtue he possesses, he never shows even a speck of pride, but marvels even at the smallest virtues of others. Although Your Holiness is the great holder of the Sakya tradition, you are completely free from biased opinions and hold all holders of the Buddha's teachings in the snowy lands in reverence. Without sectarianism or complacency, you repeatedly listen to and contemplate the origins and connections of each Dharma lineage, never tiring or becoming discouraged. Although many claim to be learned, such a complete hearing of all the Buddha's teachings is extremely rare. The Sutras extensively explain the benefits of extensive learning. The Bodhisattva Pitaka states: "Through hearing, one knows all dharmas; through hearing, one turns away from sin; through hearing, one abandons what is meaningless; through hearing, one attains Nirvana." Therefore, by understanding the meaning of the Dharma in the scriptures and treatises, and abandoning all sinful and meaningless actions that are the work of demons, one becomes endowed with all the virtues of a noble being. Endowed with these virtues, one becomes worthy of praise in the world, including the gods. As stated in the Jataka tales: "If one has virtue, one obtains the rank of king, and beings can also attain manifest greatness. Even the power of the gods depends on virtue; with virtue, one can please others' minds. Fame also arises from virtue, and greatness comes from those who possess virtue. The virtue that is clearer than moonlight can make unbearable enemies, arrogant and hateful, and those who harbor old grudges and great jealousy, have their minds purified and delighted." And so on. There are two ways in which one with such virtues engages in listening and contemplation: the common outer sciences and the uncommon inner sciences.
