The twenty mountains of views of fearful gatherings and the three hundred and sixty wrong views, etc., all the impure views in the world, the root of all of these is the clinging to the self of a person, which should be refuted. For all sentient beings, the innate thought of "I," and the imputed self that non-Buddhists consider to be permanent, one, independent, etc., when analyzed with reason, if it is established by its own nature, then it must be established as one of the aggregates, one, or many. If it is established as one, then just as there are five aggregates, there would be five selves; and the so-called self and aggregates would become the object to be taken and the taker, which is unreasonable; if it is established as many, then after individually excluding the five aggregates, there must be another substance called "I," but because there is none, in name only, it is merely labeled as "I" based on the aggregates, but in reality, it is not established by its own nature, one should generate this certainty. After being determined by various logical reasonings, it will not be possible to find a self-established thing. The second part is divided into four parts: the object of grasping, the grasper, the wisdom of non-duality, and the way to prevent all grasping. The first part is: "This is also the object of my grasping." etc., as mentioned, the external environment and beings that are grasped by that self, and the internal aggregates, elements, etc., all the appearances that are clearly seen, the coarse ones are not truly established because they are made up of many particles; the fine particles are also made up of indivisible particles; and the indivisible particles, if there is no connection of the four sides, top and bottom, then they cannot form coarse things; if there are six parts, then the vow of indivisible particles will be broken. Therefore, if analyzed with reason, then for each phenomenon, it is only a conceptual imputation of the characteristic that designates that thing, but in reality, from the perspective of the thing itself, not even a particle is established. For example, for pillars, etc., if it is established as a pillar from the perspective of the thing itself, then before the pillar was established, in the time of the tree, the thought of "pillar" should arise, but that is not the case. Later, when it is able to play the role of supporting the roof, it is suddenly named "pillar," which shows that all objects of perception

Therefore, by understanding all things in this way, one should destroy the clinging to truth. Secondly, as it is said, "Even the various cognitions that grasp there," etc., these various cognitions that appear to grasp at those objects are not established as true because they arise dependent on external objects. For example, the various things that appear in dreams, such as Mount Meru, houses, etc., are false. For the same reason, the cognition that grasps at the objects of dreams is also nothing more than false. Because it relies on the falsity of the unestablished nature of the object, how can the cognition of the object itself be established as a true entity? It cannot be established. Thirdly, as it is said, "Even experiencing non-dual wisdom," etc., even if such objects and cognitions are not established as true, if one thinks that just that much is established as true because one directly experiences the self-knowing, self-illuminating non-dual wisdom of the grasper and the grasped, that is also not established as true, because it is not established in the nature of the three times. Like this, dividing the non-dual wisdom into three parts: past, present, and future, do these three meet or not meet? If they meet, they will become one instant, thus breaking the vow of parts. If they do not meet, they will exist separately and independently. The past has ceased, so it cannot be a thing. The future has not yet arisen, so it cannot be a thing. The present, whether it is shape, color, object and non-object, one and many, etc., no matter how many rational ways one analyzes it, one cannot find any object, so it cannot be an object. Furthermore, is the valid cognition that realizes its existence a mental factor or mind? If it is the former, the mental factor has already been determined to be false, so the false cognition cannot see the true object. If it is the latter, it is unreasonable for the mind alone to be both the object to be measured and the measurer. Moreover, if non-dual wisdom must exist as truly established, it must arise from a cause. Does it arise from a cause that has ceased, or from a cause that has not ceased? If it is the former, the ceased is a non-entity, so it is impossible for an entity to arise, and the seed has already ceased, so it will not become a cause. If it is the latter, if the fruit arises while its own cause has not ceased, then the distinction between cause and effect becomes meaningless.
