The twelfth day of the month, and in the Hevajra Tantra it says, "The fourteenth of the waxing half-moon, and likewise the eighth." That is, the eighth and fourteenth of the waxing moon, the twenty-third and twenty-ninth of the waning moon, these four times, and in the Dakini Ocean it says, "Especially on the eighth day, the fifteenth and the fourteenth, yogis who desire accomplishment should diligently give offerings." That is, three times, plus the distinction between the waxing and waning moon, there are six times, these times, and also the birthdays and parinirvanas of one's own gurus and special gurus, all the roots of virtue accumulated on such festivals will become a hundred thousand times. In particular, the tantras say that at those times mentioned in the tantras, it is highly praised to please the outer and inner dakinis with tsok and torma offerings. Similarly, it is said that at the time of a solar eclipse, it becomes a hundred thousand times, and at the time of a lunar eclipse, it becomes seven million times, and so on. In short, the General Tantra says, "When the sun and moon are seized by Rahu, and strange omens appear, and in the month of miracles, the wise should draw mandalas." This shows that there are many ways in which the tantras praise the changes of time, therefore, one should especially strive to do good deeds on festivals. The third is the basis, as it is said in the Glorious Kalachakra, "Of the three, a bhikshu is the best, a shramanera is intermediate, and a householder is the lowest." As it is said, a shramanera is better than a householder, and a bhikshu is better than a shramanera. Better than them are the roots of virtue done by bodhisattvas and those who possess the vows of vidyadharas, which are even more special. Therefore, a bhikshu vajradhara who possesses the three vows, striving for the roots of virtue through the yoga of his own tutelary deity, is the most excellent. Even if one is a householder, when engaging in great virtuous deeds, if one takes the eight precepts of upavasatha and practices virtue, the benefits will be even greater, this should be understood. Fourth, increasing the roots of virtue with vidya mantras, there are many such examples in dharani mantras, and speech blessings and rosary blessings will also be mentioned later. Especially good

Before entering the (mandala) area, recite this mantra: Om Smara Smara Vimana Sara Maha Jambha Hum. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྨ་ར་སྨ་ར་བི་མ་ན་ས་ར་མ་ཧཱ་ཛམྦྷ་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओṃ स्मर स्मर विमन सर महा जम्भ हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ smara smara vimana sara mahā jambha hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Remembrance, Remembrance, Away from Mind, Essence, Great, Jambha, Hum.) It is said that reciting this mantra can increase merit by a hundred thousand times, or even a hundred million times. Fifth, increasing the roots of virtue through generating Bodhicitta: Whatever virtuous deeds are done, if they are done with the aim of benefiting all sentient beings pervading the sky and attaining complete and perfect enlightenment, then the increase in merit will be particularly great. Master Nagarjuna said, "The realm of sentient beings is limitless, so should the desire to benefit them be." The Bodhicaryavatara says, "Other virtues are like banana trees, which are exhausted after bearing fruit. The Bodhicitta tree constantly bears fruit, and the fruit is inexhaustible and ever-increasing." And so on, it is widely taught. Sixth, rejoicing increases the roots of virtue: Rejoicing from the bottom of one's heart in all the virtues accumulated by other noble beings and ordinary beings in the past, present, and future, it is said that one can obtain the same merit as them. This is just one example, and its benefits are limitless. The Collection says, "The Mount Meru of the three thousand worlds can be measured with a scale, but the virtue of rejoicing cannot be measured." This is just an example. Seventh, dedication: This is the best method for increasing the roots of virtue. Generally, for any virtuous deeds that have been done, and taking a day and night as an example, when sleeping at night, make the roots of virtue accumulated today the main focus. By this example, dedicate all the roots of virtue accumulated by oneself and others in the past, present, and future to the attainment of great enlightenment. Then, according to the situation, make extensive or concise dedications and aspirations, such as the Samantabhadra Prayer. In the Sutra Requested by Sagaramati, the essence of the scripture is summarized in verses: "Just as a drop of water falls into the great ocean, it will not be exhausted until the ocean dries up. Likewise, whatever virtue is dedicated to enlightenment will not be exhausted until enlightenment is attained." As the sutra says, since anger and other afflictions are the cause of the exhaustion of virtue, one should never let virtue be exhausted. Because it is held by the dedication of Bodhicitta, virtue will increase and expand more and more. Among them, the extensive dedication text is in the Avatamsaka Sutra, in the chapter on entering
